@Alfonz - StonesDoug (Shidoobee) and others have states that the GA and numbers means nothing. I am willing to bet that they are correct, but I still think it is interesting that there are actual seat designations for the $78 tickets. Checkout SanJose...

I bought sets for each Chicago gig, for a grand total of under $500..

Congratulations to all who got tickets today! Very happy for all of you.
I hope they do the same for Philadelphia and Boston, but I have a feeling now that the cats out of the bag about these $85 tickets, it will be harder to get them for the remaining shows.

I pulled the $85's 3 or 4 times for TO on the 31st just to see how the process worked. Everytime they came up though it was after leaving the default option of "Best Available" selected. I tried the dropdown option for the General Admission Floor (no PIT option for TO) and could never pull the tixc this way. I am jonesin for a pit experience though and Boston is closer for me...although it may have been cheaper for me to fly to TO with an $85 pair of tix! Time will tell. Great news that so many folks are able to get a hold of these tickets though. The Stones are really trying to accomodate everyone in my opinion...they are definitely on the money with the marketing machine.

Just be ON IT lb,
Most folks "out there" dont "get it" and will go through TM direct. Go through the Stones website and you are in. Just do the right thing at the right moment.

But did anyone got tickets by selecting those specific designations (as opposed to just best available)? I tried to select some of those options for Toronto (admittedly not the "worst" options), but it said "no tickets available". Afterwards I selected best available and there were still tickets left.
I've tried reading through threads on a few forums, but I can't see anyone post that they selected anything other than best available.

You have to wonder why they even have a "pull down" list since the $85 tickets will be allocated by a lottery on the day of the event.

Oh well, at least you are being honest about it

I don't think we'll know for sure until the first show, if/when people report if their numbers seemed to make
any difference.
Thanks again to The Rolling Stones for this chance!!! I was gonna pull a regular ticket and I couldn't find
any I liked. I have these two and am pretty pumped that I got to return a favor to a wonderful Stones pal.

Good for you angee and very nice that you get to share your happiness with a friend. I hope I get to see you in Philadelphia, assuming I can get a few tickets myself!

Updated info:
USA & Canada tour tickets on sale at 10am, including over 1000 $85 tickets per show
Tickets for the Rolling Stones’ 50 & Counting US and Canada tour go on sale at 10am local time here.
As a part of the general on sale, there is something for everyone, including over a 1,000 tickets per show at $85 (including service charges). Some will be among the best seats in the house in the Tongue Pit, with others spread around the arena. Tickets will be sold as a pair. You will find out your seat location when you pick them up the night of the show. Other tickets range from $150- $600(plus service charges).
We will be using strict anti-scalper measures to ensure that these $85 tickets go to Stones fans and don’t end up on the resale market with wildly inflated prices. We appreciate your attention to the following, so that you have the best experience possible:
· You must pick up your tickets in person, along with your guest. Once you have the tickets in hand, you will be escorted into the arena. There will not be an opportunity to leave with your tickets before going into the show.
· Picture ID, your confirmation number, and the credit card used to make the purchase are required for pick-up. Without these things, you will not be able to pick up your tickets.
If we suspect any reselling or transfer of these tickets they will be immediately voided and you will not be entitled to any refund.
