Did anyone who got Chi tix have anything other than GA listed in his/her order? If not, it probably doesn't mean anything right since there's no way they will put everyone in the pit.

Regarding the $85 tickets GA and Seat numbers, someone on Shidoobee said those numbers are just for reference for Ticketmaster and Will Call. That they do not mean anything more than that. Since the promotion states you will learn your location once you pick up your tickets at Will Call, that sounds right.

Thats what I'm thinking. I scored tickets to all three gigs (don't know which two I will go to at this point). There is a section (GA1), row (GA1,2,3) and then seat numbers (13-74).

My guess is that section is the price tier (pit, floor and lower bowl, upper deck front, super upper deck), the row is what it is, and seats... well thats where you stand!

I am hoping that the Stones end up putting these seats in decent sections throughout the room. I do not care whether I'm in the pit or not, just that I can enjoy the gig. My better half has never seen them, so I am hoping my tixx for Chicago 1 are top notch! GA1, GA1, low seat numbers... here's hoping!

That's right. Mentioned here a few pages back, and a time or two since.

So why then would they even have the choice of "best available", Ga/pit & "upper level seating" when buying these tickets? There shouldn't have been an option - I was too nervous getting any tickets that I didn't change that dropdown. I mean it's nice not to pay more than $85 for upper level seating, but I really hope they will do someting genuinely nice for their fans this time.

Don't know about the dropdown. Seeing as the $85 ticket page itself was unique, they might've just used a default template of some sort.

Wouldn't fret too much over your perceived mistake. Sitting or standing, you're in the house!

I never thought those 85's were standing room...but even if they are...in the house is fine...I turned down higher priced tickets twice...just couldn't pull the trigger and feel good about it. So I'm going after all...smileys with beer

Nowhere on ticketmaster does it say that you cannot purchase more than 1 pair of 85 dollar tickets. Therefore, I am not worried. Myself and 3 of my friends will see The Stones! Woo!

Suspect that will change once the dust settles.

The disclaimer posted on the Ticketmaster page pretty much spells out a two ticket limit.

Over 1000 $85 seats available in the pit and throughout the arena. Strict anti-scalper measures will ensure that the tickets go to Stones fans and not the resale market. Sold only in pairs with seat location revealed night-of-show. Pick-up tickets night of show only, in person, with Picture ID, confirmation number, and the credit card used at purchase. Once you have the tickets in hand, you will be escorted into the arena. Any reselling or transfer of these tickets will void them with no refund.

It doesn't state a limit. It only says that they are selling in pairs.

That's how I read it. As long as the person who purchased the tickets is there to pick them up, him or her and their party will be escorted in.

Indeed it doesn't. However it does say any reselling or transfer will void them with no refund.

That would suggest the plan to give your two "extras" to friends won't work.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. What if I bought one pair and then decided to buy another pair for a friend as a surprise for their birthday? Or what if they are unable to purchase a ticket on their own and asked me to do it for them? Ticketmaster AND The Stones are saying I can't do that? That's stupid. Both pairs are under my name. My three friends show up at the will call both with me. I pick up tickets and hand three to my friends. I don't see what the big deal is. "Transfer" means you give the tickets to someone else via ticketmaster's website. http://www.ticketmaster.ca/transfer

Thanks Johnny! I couldn't get any tickets using my ticketmaster account so I came back to this site and saw your link to Oakland for the $85 tickets and tried that link and purchased the tickets!

By the way, I just logged into the Ticketmaster mobile app and there I can see my tickets listed as GA, whereas on the site they say TBA2 row 8... so it really looks like this might just be a random placeholder. I don't hope for the tongue pit but something closer to the stage than what I got in Brooklyn last December.

That's likely why it won't work. Your name is attached to two sets of tickets.

The Stones/Ticketmaster don't know/care if you're a scalper or a really thoughtful guy.

In any event, contacting Ticketmaster for clarification prior to the show date might be a good idea.

Supposedly once you get your fan ticket you and your guest will be escorted into the venue to your seats (or GA pit winking smiley with no opportunity to resell or even give the tickets away.

Unlikely...that would supposidly require 500+ escorts (for 1000 tickets)

Well, if that's the case then there will be a lot of angry customers at the will call booth because there is no mention whatesoever that ONLY 1 pair can be purchased by one person. The point of forcing us to enter the venue as soon as we pick up the ticket is to prevent scalpers from re-selling them at a higher value. Yes, both pairs are under my name which is why I am required to be there with ID when I pick them up. After that, I doubt there will be another checkpoint where my name is crossed off a list before I enter the venue. That would be very time-consuming, I think. I hope I'm right. ticketmaster phone has been busy all day so I can't confirm my suspicions of how this works. But considering ticketmaster specifically says "no transfers" for this event and there is an explanation of what transferring is on the site, I am not worried because I am not "transferring" the tickets.
