Well, if that's the case then there will be a lot of angry customers at the will call booth because there is no mention whatesoever that ONLY 1 pair can be purchased by one person.

Agree, and would expect a one pair per person proviso will be made explicitly clear prior to the next round of on sales.

I think that people who bought multiple pairs are probably safe. Venues don't want the hassle on the day of a show. But, it's pretty nerve-wracking until you get in. I bought my Led Zep reunion ticket from a secondary source, and I have vivid memories of sweating until they put that wristband around my wrist.

Ive been to another show recently where I bought multiple sets of GA pit tickets with my card, and was able to get my whole group in without a problem, Im not too worried about it. The whole point of it is just to make sure the original purchaser is with the party that enters the arena. My parents, girlfriend, brother and friend are going with me so it will be pretty apparent I am not scalping as 2/3 of our party have the same last name on our drivers licenses haha.

I wouldnt recommend calling, its a lot easier to say no over the phone, and the ticketmaster phone people are by-the-book @#$%&. It's best to just show up in person with all the people in your party there is no way they are not going to accommodate your group.

A lot of people do their pit tickets "will call- show card" this way to prevent scalping, the ones I have been to are Bruce Springsteen and Eric Church, and Ive never had a problem at a venue.

If you did buy multiple sets like me, make sure you bring confirmation receipts for ALL sets with you, as you should anyway. If you just bring your card and ID there is a chance for trouble when they look it up in the system.

If it's not allowed the tickets will be cancelled in advance. There's a strict limit of 4 per show anyway, I believe.

I am certain that tickets are intended to be sold as a pair to a single individual. If one person can buy tickets for 8 other couples/friends, then scalpers can do the same... The entire point of the whole 'escort you immediately through the gate once you have your tickets' thing, is to prevent scalpers from buying 10 of these pairs, getting them the day of, then going outside to sell the seats for $200-$2000/each.

So unless you and your friend look very similar, and he can pass for you, and you can make a copy of your ID and credit card, I'm thinking it wont happen. You + 7 friends at the gate, one person purchasing what was intended for two people...

I thought about doing it earlier but did not want to risk it! Best of luck!

Edited to say, SERIOUSLY best of luck. For many of us this is the only way we would consider going to these gigs. I bought sets for each Chicago gig, for a grand total of under $500.. So thats three shots at decent seats... $500 for THREE Rolling Stones gigs. Can't beat it. $500 vs $3600... smileys with beer

The 4 ticket limit is for the tongue packages, there is an 8 ticket limit for everywhere else.
The way this GA will call system has worked at previous venues is you line up outside the venue, at a seperate gate, and the purchaser shows ID and credit card, the tickets are printed and taken/stubbed at the same time, and you walk straight into the venue.
It is not normal will call where you pick up your tickets, leave and enter through a normal gate. Especially because of how vague they were about these tickets, I cannot forsee them cancelling anyones tickets or not allowing them to enter.

They'll give you the first 2...but then might lock out your credit number for the others. But then again...you paid for them. What do they do? Give you a refund then and there? Doing nothing, which would be my first thought, and taking a chance could be a disaster...You should clear it up ahead of time...On the other hand...wait a couple of weeks...see what they do, if anything...you've paid for the tickets.

I bought them with the same ticketmaster account and credit card, if they wanted to prevent people from buying more than one pair they should have explicitly said it, or blocked the same account from buying multiple pairs.

Like I said in an earlier post, I am not worried about it at all, it would have been more specific if they wanted to restrict it. Honestly it is just them throwing us a bone finally with some cheap tickets that cant be scalped, I dont think they are going to be that strict.

Number of Tickets or "Ticket Limits"

When purchasing tickets on our Site, you are limited to a specified number of tickets for each event (also known as a "ticket limit" ). This ticket limit is posted during the purchase process and is verified with every transaction. This policy is in effect to discourage unfair ticket buying practices. We reserve the right to cancel any or all orders and tickets without notice to you if you exceed the posted limits. This includes orders associated with the same name, e-mail address, billing address, credit card number or other information.

yeah, this is gonna be tricky.i went back and read the rules for those tickets-it did say that you and your GUEST. single not plural.

but they should have been way more clear about the rules.hope you guys get in but i think you should find out in advance the exact rule.nothing could be worse than showing up with your friends and family and not getting in.

Question: For the $85 dollar tickets do you have to go through the link on rollingstones.com to get to the ticketmaster page? It appears to be a completely separate window. the $85 were not available on ticketmaster if you went through them to their regular sales page for Oakland. I want to try for Vegas!

Thank god they hid that $85 option by making you go through their website or Facebook. Otherwise they would have sold out in 12 seconds.

Further to my earlier comment about the $85 page being Ticketmaster boilerplate - "Thers" included.

just got off the phone with ticketmaster, there is no problem, you are allowed to purchase up to 8, same limit as general tickets. I purchased 3 sets (6 tix) and there was no problem with my account, he said just go to will call and they will print all 6 tickets on my account when I show them the card. He said the 2 ticket limit in the drop down menu was just to make it more difficult to buy large quantities.
Its all good people!

Guys..... Look at the $85 ticket page... Oooohhhh man........

Not sure that means anything. Practicing for Chicago, I tried to explicitly select GA/Pit for Toronto, and it said no tickets available. I went back and just left it as Best Available, and then 2 tickets came up. Then I threw them back into the pool.

Surprised how easy this was. I picked up a pair for the Fri and Mon shows in Chicago. The latter was an after thought, did it over an hour after the tickets went on sale. I stuck with the "Best Available" option. The first pair I bought says GA2, the other says GA1. I don't think that means I'll be getting into the actual GA section.

@Alfonz - StonesDoug (Shidoobee) and others have states that the GA and numbers means nothing. I am willing to bet that they are correct, but I still think it is interesting that there are actual seat designations for the $78 tickets. Checkout SanJose...
