A friend of mine bought a pair of $165's in section 205 the minute they went on sale, and then a pair of $265's in section 217 a bit later.

Well...intersting, thanks for the info. I suppose I better keep checking and hoping...
I just heard from my Mom: (she goes to LV often) she called her contact at MGM and got 2 FREE tickets for booking a room. No word yet on seat location but at that price, who cares?! So if you have a history of gambling and staying at MGM (or one of the partner casinos) I would encourage you to call and see what you can pull before you shell out the cash. Now I just need to have her get 2 more...
The 10AM Pacific time listed on TM is undoubtably correct.Quote

Just saw this on rollingstones.com re the Vegas show:
General on sale Friday April 19 12pm ET
that would be 9 am Pacific.
So which is correct 9 am or 10 am??

Can anyone tell me if Sections 18-21 of the MGM Grand are worth the money or are they behind the Stage? I may have to use Stub Hub to get tickets. Are they reliable?

The MGM Grand is a great place to see the Stones. Like Mick said at one of the shows:
"You are the best dressed crowd ever"
That was the one and only show I have ever been wearing suit and tie...

Stay at the Tropicana right across the street for much less $$$.
Recently remodeled...it is very nice, less crowded, and probably half the price.
Quite right. Also, for those of you coming from out of town, try any of the hotels on the east side of the strip. There is a monorail that goes between the hotels. I think it's $5 to ride one way. I'm staying at Bally's for one third the price on the Grand. Plus it's centrally located on the strip. Now for the buzz kill. Prostitution is illegal in Cook County and the police take a dim view on public intoxication. I'd hate to see any of my fellow IORR's miss the concert because they spent the night in jail.
Hairball, email me so we can plan on getting together. First drinks on me! You bought the beers at Neil Young. It's my turn.
Once a time and place is finalized, I'll post on this thread so other IORR's find us.

Holy crap Scotty, you have a great memory!
This show in Vegas is a slim possibility for me, as I'll be in Hawaii until May 9th.
It would be crazy (albeit still quite possible), for me to get from L.A. to Vegas on the 10th or 11th.
I'm already missing the Staples show which is no biggie as I'm not too fond of Staples Center, so for now all my chips are on Anaheim.
I already have a reservation at the Ayres Hotel across the street from the Pond, but am waiting anxiously for any ticket info.
With all that said---Vegas is VERY tempting, and I will seriously consider it as MGM is a great venue to see the Stones!

Here is where the $85 seats may be located. The last few rows behind sections 201 thru 207 do not have a price on the color chart. These are the lowest priced tickets for other acts at this venue. The lower part of section 1 is probably behind the sound board, but the rest of section 1 and all of section 2 and 3 do not seem to be available. Could these be the casino host seats?

NO $85 tickets at MGM, at least not on the 4 devices and accounts I tried! Oh well praying for a great single from a desperate scalper!
