The British Summer Time Festival changed their dates. It is now from 5th to 14th July, not from 28th June to 7th July. So basically one week shifted.

Of course this could be in order to not collide with Hard Rock Calling. But it could also mean, that they shifted to get the Stones. I find that pretty likely.

I really hope that they'll perform on july 13 or 14! would be perfect for me.

Hyde park this summer? So I was about one year wrong when opting for HRC 2012. Saw Springsteen instead, and how London pulled the plug out of that show.
Came back in November, GRRREAT!

No matter when, no matter where, we'll try to be there...

the greatest rock and roll band in the world - definitely

Today's thought !! Maybe they've just decided to do away with announcements altogether ? I mean really, "announcements are just soooooooooooo passé" ... who needs 'em ?

Hence, at yesterday's Rolling Stones concert - backstage .............

Knock on door

MJ Yeah

RW enters

RW Mick, dunno what's going on, but there doesn't appear to be an audience

MJ What ?

KR What ? What did he say ?

MJ He SAID there doesn't appear to be an audience .........

KR Bollocks, impossible. We're the greatest rock n' roll band in the world

MJ F**k this, I'm going to check

Exits, door slams behind him

RW I'm telling you, there's NO audience

KR Lets wait and see what Brenda says ...... there must be a mistake

MJ re-enters

MJ Well stone me you're right, there ISN'T an audience

KR Well bloody hell, why not ? Where the hell are they ?

RW Don't ask me, how the blazes should I know ? No-one tells ME anything

MJ Whadya mean no-one tells you anything

RW Well they don't

MJ Hmm .............

RW Yeah, and I was was supposed to be out to dinner with the Mrs tonight !

KR Yeah now I think about, I was supposed to be too. Shit ..... !

MJ You got me going now, I think I was also. F**k ! Now I'm in s**t !

KR Well what are we gonna do ?

CW It's just a thought, but we probably shouldn't have fired that PR bloke ?

KR We did WHAT ?

RW What PR bloke ?

CW The one that was always making those bloody announcements ..........

RW Well he could have bloody well announced something to ME, I mean really !

KR Yeah, to me too. I mean to say, I've just wasted an entire evening !

MJ Well he was useless, always giving out false information .........

CW Not to mention charging an exorbitant fee for his services

MJ Yep, we sure saved a lot of money getting rid of him

KR Fair enough, but we still don't have an audience ...........

RW Yeah, and just wait till the Mrs finds out I turned up here for no reason

KR What, you'll be in the shit AS WELL ? Christ !

MJ I think we'll ALL will be in the shit. Christ Almighty, what a mess !

CW Just an idea

MJ What ?

CW We could ask that Norwegian bloke, you know ............ ?

MJ O yeah, what's his face, bear or wolf or something very Scandinavian ....

RW Well yeah we COULD, but he's actually out of contact at the moment ...

MJ How'd you know that ?

RW Well, cos' he announced it on his thing on the internet, website thing

KR He what ?

CW He ANNOUNCED it Keith

MJ Well I bloody well wish he'd have announced TONIGHT, jeez !

CW So .................. are we actually playing tonight, or what ?

MJ NO. And f**k this, I'm going home. I can't function without an audience

KR Me too

RW Yep, I'm out of here as well

CW Best check on that website thingy perhaps

RW Yeah, will do. I'll have to get the Mrs to do it though .........

MJ Yeah, so if she finds out when we're actually playing, LET US KNOW

KR F**k, I've lost my phone. Anyone know my Mrs' number ?

All exit, door closes behind them

This is priceless..... been off the board for a few days sunning myself in Benidorm (1st time I've been here and much better than I thought it was going to be)....I've actually announced the dates of the tour several times, nobody gives me any credit for doing so, so this time it'll be just ME...ME...ME... in the know !!

Satisfied since 1976

I don't know whether reliable, but this throws 6th and 13th in the mix. So both Saturdays in Hyde Park:

Roger Friedman seems to be one of the more reliable journalists...of course this doesn't have to mean anything.

Showbiz 411/Roger Friedman touted "exclusive" information for the London/NY/NJ shows that was consistently inaccurate, most notably listing the wrong show dates long after they'd already been confirmed.

This latest scoop appears just as suspect, since Madison Square Garden will be closed for renovations from late spring through early fall.

Karlos, it was an addition to the mix, anyway.

What got me was when he implied Vancouver is in the US, at least according to my reading:

"The Stones are also confirmed for 18 U.S. arenas. The tour is supposed to start on the West Coast, maybe in Vancouver."

It is--at least there is one in the U.S.

From Wikipedia: Vancouver is a city on the north bank of the Columbia River in the U.S. state of Washington. Incorporated in 1857, it is the fourth largest city in the state, with a 2010 census population of 161,791 as of April 1, 2010 census. Vancouver is the county seat of Clark County and forms part of the Portland-Vancouver metropolitan area, the 23rd-largest metropolitan area in the United States.
