Nice video with Berlin, I was there a few weeks ago and walking in the Bahnhof Zoo I had to think about Bowie and Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo.

Bowie didn't tour on the back of Pin Ups, Low, Lodger, and Scary Monsters. I don't think he's ever adhered to album/tour treadmills, except where necessary.

What I would like, though, would be a legitimate release of Toy, where he revisited some of his 60s material.

Today its Bowie's Birthday as well-Congratulation
The video clip is shot in the garage under his former Berlin Living appartment at the time of Low and Heroes in 1977.
In march will be a great Bowie related Expo in the English V&A Museum.

Interesting he is doing the lyrics on screen ala "Doom and Gloom", or are all groups doing that these days? I kind of find it distracting, I think I like more to hear the vocals as one of the instruments, blended in, as opposed to spelling out the song for me.

If it weren't for the subtitles I wouldn't understand a huge chunk of these lyrics which reference Berlin locales -- I like it in this instance.

Sounds like Visconti too has been places, and brought it to the board. It sounds very European; from the first chord. I actually heard more France, than Berlin.
Loved the crescendo at the end and the acoustic guitar in it; wonder who that drummer is. (I bet we will see another U2 albums soon; I dont know why that popped in my head, but I was thinking that this return will spoil their ideas of retirement)

Have only heard a minute of the song on Radio 4 (Today Programme) at 7.20 this morning. Will have to wait until work is over to hear it in full but what I heard sounded beautiful. Radio 4 were falling over themselves with excitement and so am I. Plus, they said there is an album to follow. Happy birthday, David!
