The Main Development Region of the Atlantic Ocean (between 9° and 21° North) is as warm as it is in September/October, the peak of hurricane season, and May 2023 was the warmest it's ever been in recorded history for May.

2023 could be the first time in recorded history that Europe could get hit by a hurricane, largely because of El Niño.

A rainy 20C in Deauville, on the Atlantic coast in France. Although it's been grey and rainy for weeks, I'm glad to have escaped the southern heatwave.

Actually, your "stupid quote" is a stupid quote.

You just declared you don't know the difference. And the beauty of it is you obviously don't understand it.

And the beauty of that is, it doesn't matter what you think. Like so many deniers in the US, it's happening anyway, regardless of what you think or "believe".

If you paid attention, instead of denying, you'd know a little bit about the Greenland Block. And why higher than normal sea surface temperatures around the entire area of the NE Atlantic (the entire area of NW Europe) have such an influence on what is going on.

The BC government has just declared a provincial state of emergency due to all the forest fires. Kelowna, on the shores of Lake Okanagan in the BC interior is close to a major fire and structures have been lost and thousands are now being evacuated.
The whole city of Yellowknife, the capital of the North West Territories, is being evacuated because of huge wildfires. Yellowknife isn't too far south of the Arctic Circle!
Meanwhile, huge forest fires in the Canary Islands and parts of Europe, flooding in India, and a hurricane watch for California and Mexico. WTF!!
