"Hate it when you leave " is one of the gems by Keith and I FINALLY rememeberd what song it alwasy reminds me of. I don't know the title or the artists of the tune but it sounds like a late 50's or 60's song and the vocal goes like "All my sorrows...dah dah tomorrow..."". Can't recall the words; it's a REAL sap song and it's just a brief passage that clicks but that is it. It's very strange because I get the same feeling witgh "Can't beseen". I alwasy want to slide into some other song but have yet to figure out which one. Sorry, got off topic: "Dancing in the Starlight" is my secret favorite Jaggersong. By Ron I love "This life is good but it ain't rock'n roll" BAM BAM! and also "Always wanted more". And "Far east man". Charlie does a pretty version with Bernard of "I've got a crush on you".
"...no longer shall you trudge 'cross my peaceful mind."

Mick J: Blue Keith: Run Rudolph Run Mick T: Lost In The Desert Ronnie: Like It (Slide On This is the best Stones solo album!) Bill: Come Back, Suzanne I can't make much of Charlie's solos but this one I really love (though it's somehow a Keith tune, too): Oh Lord, Don't Let Them Drop That Atomic Bomb On Me from the Charlie Mingus Project
To Rockman: so thaT song is by Jimmy Ruffin? never would have guessed it. Thanks a bunch Rocker. There's the Wizard of Oz, there's the Oracle of Delphi and then there's the Rockman of the Bunker down under!
"...no longer shall you trudge 'cross my peaceful mind."
smile: yeah, "somehow" as in Keith's singin lead and playing on it - that one is such a beautiful joy! if we're getting into cover-tune/guest appearance territory ... there are so many! We Had It All, Careless Ethiopians, Little Queenie, Dream, Oh Boy, Am I Groovin You, Seven Days -
I "filed" it under Charlie and not Keith because I guess it must have been him who initated taking part in the project. The second Charlie song on the record has him only plus the Uptown Horns who played on the Stones tour then - but is without Keith, Chuck Leavell and Bobby Keys. O.k., if we drop guest appearances than I name Highland Fling from Jamming With Edward: actually, a Charlie Watts "composition" - always wondered why Bill is never credited on that but only Hopkins-Cooder-Watts?!
Not only is it the best...but it is the most important because it ripped the rug out from under Mick...woke him up...and quite possibly saved the Stones...
Mick: Memo From Turner Keith: Big Enough Ron: I Can Feel the Fire Bill: Nuclear Reaction (bwahh-ha-haaaaaaaa!) Charlie: I'm not going to pretend that I'm familiar with any of it.
