What a huge dissapointment why didn't they go for the more obscure but brilliant songs like

...
don't Wanna be your Slave
...

Etc etc, there are so many brilliant Stones songs why the hell would they come with a re-issue of "the greates hits" AGAIN?

Because there isn't a song called 'don't Wanna be your Slave'?

You stand corrected:

No need to thank me.

I won't.

But you'd like to, admit it.

I said this in another thread, but now I am saying it here.....

With all the negative responses regarding GRRRR and the gorilla......wouldnt it have been cool if GRRR was called something like CROSSFIRE HURRICANE...50 YEARS OF THE ROLLING STONES... and make it the official soundtrack to the film AND the 50th Anniversary "best of" all wrapped in one?

Undercover1

Yes it would have been cool if it was. Way more appropriate.

Yes, just thinking about the missed opportunity gets me all riled up. GRRR!

Nice catch. That's gonna be fun, listening to various presenters say the title.
That is, if the album gains media traction.

Which it will.

Love how the 'single edit' version for Emotional Rescue is listed on the 80 track version, and not the 50 track version. It ain't complete unless you buy'em all!

Interesting also on including 'Send it to me'...never would have considered that one.

Also interesting that Midnight Rambler doesn't make the cut on the 80-track version....

A Finnish contribution from 1987 in the great history of gorilla album covers...

A band is called Lapinlahden linnut and the title is called VIHREÄ GORILLA ('a green gorilla').

What about if the new songs are marvellous????
Maybe are in the same quality than highwire-sexdrive or UTR-wanna go home, or better...or much worse.........
What do you expect??

Maybe they are taken from a new album (including lots of new songs).......
But there are no news about this songs, no news about rehearsals, no news about recording...........only news about big apes in the main cities of the world

I think the safe assumption is that they'll switch two different songs in instead, just to get everyone a little more riled up!
