25,000,000 / (4 x 20,000)

=

£300 per ticket.

You are far from reality !
25 M$, this is the band royalties, so you have to add many other M$ for renting the venue, insurances, workers, security...and of course, some M$ for the promoters.
So, you can expect for a 500 bucks (or more) ticket.

£300 is just under $500. In which case, he's hardly 'far from reality'.

The Stones guarantee would be before deductions.

Difficult to find room for two concerts....

daaaaaaaannnnnngggg... "If you build it, They will come".

It wont be two consecutive nights.

You could conceivably have quite a few combinations of two night stands there in the first half of the month with one night off in the middle. 23rd & 25th is the only option later in the month. It may be the more likely one as its a weekend and its also around the time the new greatest hits record is supposed to come out.

The only positive thing about few shows... less money I have to spend.

I spent a lot of money on the ABB tour.

25 million dollars between 80,000 seats is $312.5 = about £180.
I shouldn't think there's an overiding relationship between what the band are getting and ticket prices anyway though. If the band are getting $25 million it's obviously going to cost a lot more than that to put the shows on - all the logistical overheads and other parties wages - if it was just about ticket revenue that would put the prices up again way beyond a simple division of band rolyalties and seats. Of course tickets almost certainly won't be the only source of revenue, ie. TV rights etc.
So that's another factor that will effect prices. If there's no TV deal, then god knows......................
Live into the living room? As Mick said, risky.
Recording to be broadcast over xmas?..........most likely, if they're on it, so to speak, a great primer for next year.

London/New York Shows November?

From NME(link):

The Rolling Stones have been booked to play four shows later this year, including two nights at London's O2 Arena, according to US sources.

US music industry magazine Billboard quotes a source this morning (August 30) who claims that the band will play four dates in November, two at London's O2 Arena and two at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

The source also details that the gigs will be put on by British entrepreneur Richard Branson and Australian promoter Paul Dainty and reports that the band will be paid a cool $25 million (£15.8 million) for the four shows.

Earlier this week, it came to light that The Rolling Stones have been recording in a studio in Paris according to a tweet by the legendary band's frontman, Mick Jagger.

Last week the rocker wrote that they had spent the week in a recording studio in France and also posted a picture of him holding a guitar. He said: "Had fun in the Paris studio this week!"

Earlier this summer Jagger confirmed that The Rolling Stones will play together this autumn.

The band celebrated the 50th anniversary of their first ever gig in July and when asked by the Evening Standard when the band would next perform live together Jagger replied: "This autumn...".

Speaking at the opening of The Rolling Stones: 50 photography exhibition at London's Somerset House – which closed today (August 27) - he added: "You will definitely be seeing us all together soon. It's been great fun being back together and there are a lot of memories in here. I can't believe it's been 50 years. We've been hanging out together, seeing quite a bit of each other and we want to do some gigs."

$25 million for four shows? By my limited arithmetic powers, that spells scarey ticket prices!!

I gotta hunch this will happen. What will they be charging for tickets - the cheap ones will be £200 probably...if we're lucky.

I fear Silver Dagger may be right. The prices will be outrageous. I won't be going as I can't afford it. Dissappointing.

My only hope is Pay-Per-View. Hi-Def, surround sound and 65" TV is better than nothing.

If these are the last shows it's going to be like Led Zeppelin 2007. Don't know if I should be happy or sad, in one case I'll save a lot of money because I won't be able to get a ticket, and the other I will miss seeing them on the last time. Had a hunch it would go this way.
