For the vast majority, ABB Tour was the last time anyone will see them live.

At $6,250,000 per show before expenses, I would guess even face value ticket prices will be out of reach for most fans this time.

$1000.00 per ticket wil be the norm,if the promoters are to make good money, they are not giving the Stones 25million,just out of kindness...It will be VERY EXPENSIVE...hot smiley

If these are the last shows it's going to be like Led Zeppelin 2007. Don't know if I should be happy or sad, in one case I'll save a lot of money because I won't be able to get a ticket, and the other I will miss seeing them on the last time. Had a hunch it would go this way.

Crap. They're not using Bonham's kid are they?

Jason's a good guy - lives just down the road apiece.

if this becomes a STICKY THREAD than something is going on.
However for 2 shows each in Europe and US there is not need for advertisment or sponsorship. This is a minute sellout.

Is Bill planning on flying this one in or phoning this one in? Anybody ask him?

On the bright side, I'll have a load of money saved for the super-uber deluxe compilation album.

Simple math isn't always the right approach. I have done concert tour contracts, and at least in Japan, promoters do not rely solely on ticket sales to recoup a guuarantee paid to the artist. The promoter may have the right to sell sponsorship, including advertisements during the show, merchandising rights, and concession sales. A big hunk of cash may come from TV rights (ever wonder why there are so many pro shot bootlegs of Tokyo shows?), or even DVD rights. There are increases in catalogue album sales, internet rights, and all kinds of other ways to make money from a live show. There may be an option on additional shows at a lower price. Who knows. We'll see soon enough.

6.25 million divided by 18,000 is $335 per ticket JUST TO PAY THE BAND. So...$500 for seat in the rafters? No thanks.

One would think for 4 shows those lucky enough to attend will get a 25 - 30 song setlist or is that asking too much?

No $500 gets you a spot on the sidewalk outside. They will allow photographs though.

Complaint about the setlist? What about Keith's playing? Ron was so off that I wonder if he's . . . .

But Charlie is still my darling, right?

They added the Brooklyn show to appease all The Monkees fans who couldn't get seats
to their east coast shows, LoL. Sloppy Seconds.

Seems to me this board is split down the middle between those who no longer have any faith in the ability of the Stones to deliver a decent show, (code for Keith can't play), and those who do, or would see them again for one last hurrah in any case. However we are a tiny number in the overall scheme of things. The audience will be as ever mostly casual fans, most of whom won't even notice how Keith performs given the level of cover provided. There'll probably be enough who either haven't seen them at all or not for decades who'll pay these ridiculous prices in the belief that it is their absolute last chance. Those of us who have already seen them multiple times anyway are not likely to have the same anxiety. If these figures are anywhere near true, and I'll bet they are, I have no intention of going.

Fun news. I wonder if maybe the success of these shows, both the demand and the performance, might indicate whether or not more shows come our way in 2013. If there was great demand at high ticket prices and they were happy with the performances, it would be difficult to turn down more millions in profits. Even if it was, say, a longer run at each of the same venues in January.. Maybe five more shows at each. Maybe fans get Bill in London and MT in NY. They could determine almost exactly how many shows they could sell out in '13 based on the number of people denied tix for the first four shows. Sounds like a smart plan to me.

This is cool news, not that I'll be making it to any of these shows.

Best of luck to those trying to get tix, may you get good seats and put some clips on youtube for the rest of to see.smileys with beer

Well.. how many will be left after the corporates get their share?

Not many I suspect.

You'll be able to get a ticket if you're prepared to pay enough.

Someone said they are going to pick 50-100 people who regularly post to IORR and sell them tickets for 50 bucks each.... just to be able to say they did.

The 25million is likely a guarantee irrespective of how many shows are played. So not TOTALLY silly prices (though I expect some!). Likely to see more shows, so some kind of residency one would guess..

I hope this is true and it's enough to cover us. I keep my fingers crossed as I believe this would be my only hope at getting a ticket.
