I'm not in a position to jet over to France, so I don't expect anything really. Just would love to hear that they are actually doing a show.

Just some thoughts:

1. Jagger said that they would decide by Tuesday if they're doing a concert.

2. Jagger DID NOT say that they would tell the public on Tuesday of their decision (unless I missed something).

3. So........when they do surprise/small gigs in Toronto, WE LEARN ABOUT IT IN THE WEE HOURS OF THE DAY THE CONCERT IS HELD. IF WE'RE LUCKY, THEIR ROADIES START DROPPING HINTS THE DAY BEFORE THE CONCERT.

4. Bottom line - get prepared. Go to the venue and look for the usual stuff.....security people, large trucks, and then get ready for a long time in line.

Best of luck to you all....as I sit here in Canada!!tongue sticking out smiley

I don't know where in England you are, but Easyjet from London to Paris on the 28th is 59 pounds. Seems reasonable to me!

In Chicago for the surprise Doubledoor gig, it worked that way, with a early in the morning announcement, about 5am, then sold the few hundred tickets at the venue, starting at 7am, to the first few hundred who showed up.
Thats not how I got in though. Stole my pass from the concierge desk at the Ritz Carlton they were staying at.

My office is 1 km from Olympia. I see every morning the Olympia program in front of it.

great terrific news !!
are we sure that they are noawadays at the studio ?
we should see some signs over there ? even if le palais des congrès is a really huge building

for the 29, I'll be in family holidays outside Paris ...

If something happens, I really hope the tickets are not sold by the Olympia on the phone or web. Their phone exchanger blew up in 2003 and their website still hasn't recovered since Madonna's announcement that she would play there on the 26th.

Maybe this possibly Olympia show is a support for a tour announcement (Ronnie said recently that some news about a tour are close to come).
Just few songs performed and after that, an announcement (like NY 2005, but the Olympia is more famous than the concrete balcony of the Juillard School).

So if this happens, expect very few tickets on sale an hundreds people from all media instead.

A link to this thread is now on Shidoobee. The one element or thought about all this that sticks with me is that they have to just play or stop this constant rehearsing thing.

If they decide not to play (if this is all true about Paris) then I really won't know what to think.

The gig in Paris is very possible and can be an important reason for the Stones play next week.

According to L´Wren´s twitter they are in Tangier. I don´t think Mick would be there, if they had a concert in a few days.

Mick and mate are easily found when they are in Paris : George V, restaurants ...
They could not being rehearsing since they already did... And just friday and Saturday would be enough to play and be ready by sunday.
Johnny Depp is in France at the moment. Expect to see him Sunday if this happens.

can't connect due to zero computer skills, but stones twitter account says all rumors are false. not in paris, not rehearsing, not planning to play.

Dont live in England, Carlo. I live in Belfast. Flights from Belfast to Dublin were in the region of £300. A connecting flight via England would have been necessary. Anyway - its a moot point now, but thanks for checking it out for me!
