He said the mix was different. More guitars, less bass.
So i guess now it's worst.

Hampton 81 , what a bad choice, it's the same shows that we have in the
Hal Ashby movie" Let's spend the night together" and in the Swingin' Pigs boxes
ref tsp cd 100.2.
Jagger doesn't sing, just shout...
I hope it's just a rumor, if not, i don't load this show, never .

on the plus side, how long before someone syncs this new audio up with the best looking video of the gig and gives us a greatly improved Hampron dvd??

The Waiting Is Over was a VHS release of the Wembley 26/6/82 footage by the fan who owned the master tape to make back some of the money he paid for the tape. The back cover features a Pete Still Photography shot of the final bow (rare in those days) that I lent him. I think I got the only Betamax copy !

Don't get me wrong - it's probably the most solid performance of the 81 tour - but man, as good as it is it's a letdown, kinda.

Well that was hardly worth the build up. Great show for the two of you out there that don't have it.
Unfortunately, fans who collect bootlegs tend to think the whole point of archive releases is that has to be all about filling gaps in their collection.
It isn't.
There are FAR more Rolling Stones fans who have never heard Brussels 73 or Hampton 81 than there are who own those or any other titles. Far, far more. Its not even close.
For anyone to expect half a dozen totally or mostly uncirculated recordings to be released over the next year is unreasonable and irrational.
PS - wasnt the closed circuit broadcast of this show called 'The Waiting is over' or something? Clever pun on your thread title if you meant it!

Eventually we'll get El Mocambo. I'm a believer.
As well as some Brian Jones era shows. Just keep on nagging.

Just see it. Haven't read everything but it's a big disapointment to me!
Most anybody has that stuff already/ I don't really like that tour and mainly:
It seems to show what kind of dates/boots they will release. No great hideen stuff, just the foreseeable!

But we hadn't heard the Brussels show before. And now one of the guys that bought the Hampton show says that LSTNT is totally different from the version we know...
