Will be going to the Sabres game tonight. About 80 ex Sabres will be there for a pre game fan appreciation party. Can't wait to see Joe Daley. He was the only goalie I ever saw play with out a mask live. He's probably 70 years old by now.

Go Flyers! Put Sabres playoff run on hold for 24 hours.

Flyers are tough. I don't know who will be in goal tonight for Buffalo. I do know that HSBC arena will be going crazy tonight.

After a horrible second period, the Sabres rally for a tie to earn a spot in the playoffs. Then to top it off Thomas Vanek muscles thru two Philly defensemen to score the game winner in overtime.

Team is playing alot better since the new ownership took charge. They might surprise some teams in the playoffs

It's become quite an annoyance that the TV heads on Versus say "the 'Canes" instead of "the Hurricanes" when talking about Carolina.

Who was that that played in Carolina anyway? They were in red but sure didn't fly for shit.

SJ gave one away to the Ducks. I don't care what the TV heads say about this one either - Chicago is in, Calgary is out (Dallas was eliminated last night).

What's up with the Capitals taking over 1st in the East? Wow. They'll still find a way to lose in the second round as usual...

Dallas isn't out yet, and the Hawks aren't in either. We will know tomorrow afternoon. Hawks win or tie and they're in. Dallas must win and Hawks lose for Dallas to sneak in. I'm looking forward to a rockin' matinee start time tomorrow in the UC. Let's go Hawks!

I am impressed with how Washington has bought into playing a strong two way game. You need that and good goaltending to win in the playoffs when things tighten up. The Caps look tough right now.

The Cup is a real tossup this year.

lackluster effort from the Sharks last night. But congrats to Big Joe Thornton. Scored his 1000th career point last night.thumbs up

The TV heads said the Stars were eliminated.

It has been explained to me though that Dallas still has a chance so what do the TV heads know? Of course, things change.

Go Carolina! @#$%& NY!

I don't know if Buffalo can handle the Flyers. It's up to Miller.

Anaheim looks tough in the West with the Caps doing the right thing in the East. All bets are off starting Wednesday though. There will be surprises. As a lifetime Hawks fan I only hope the boys don't get run over and take the Nucks to 7 games. I want the Nucks and Dead Wings out, Philly grasping, but out again.

Let the games begin.

The Flyers have been having trouble lately (as have the Wings). That does not bode well USUALLY.

And come on - it's Philly. @#$%& Philly!

Sharks will NOT lose to LA.

Why not? What is their head to head this season? How do they match up position by position?

If the Sharks lose to LA then Doug Wilson will be out as GM, and this team will be be gutted. Will be tough though for LA without Kopitar.

Buffalo couldn't even beat Boston last year. Philly is a much better team than Boston. I hope I'm wrong.

Detroit 4 Phoenix 2
Detroit leads best of 7 series 1 - 0

Pittsburgh 3 Tampa Bay 0
Pittsburgh leads best of 7 series 1 - 0

NY Rangers 1 Washington 1 in overtime.

Sabres are playing better hockey right now, who cares about last year.
