Caps beat NYRangers, Vancouver beat Chicago (shut out) and Nashville beat the silly Ducks.

I hope Buffalo beats the falling Flyers.

I always thought Roberta Luongo was a pussy between the pipes. You kicked our butts in the first period last night, but barely won the game. You can't say you dominated after the first period. Hockey is a game of breaks and luck, magnified even more in the playoffs. Nucks better keep their heads up tomorrow night after taking runs at us all last night. You give you better be ready to take. Nucks have never been able to take a hit without retaliation when they play the Hawks. Lou made some nice saves and was lucky we hit some posts. Hawks should be better tomorrow and really need game 2. If Van don't win this year they are done. Where were the Sedin sisters last night?

What you said, filstan. I live in the heart of Canuckland and I can tell you they're the worst bandwagon-jumping fans going. I am dying to see them choke again and I'm confident it'll happen, despite the impressive regular season.

Well good luck. The boys in the Indian head sweaters will try and make it interesting. Never pleasant when these two teams meet. When all is said and done the Nucks SHOULD beat the Hawks and go deep this year, but playoff hockey offers little certainty. Great games though on every night through end of June. My favorite sports time of the year.

The Buffalo Sabres shut out the Philadelphia Flyers 1 - 0.
Buffalo leads best of 7 series 1 - 0.

Take that SCL! tongue sticking out smiley

Montreal shuts out the Boston Bruins 2 - 0.
Montreal leads the best of 7 series 1 - 0.

Now its time for the Kings to shine.

The Kings are on the board! The game is tied at 1 - 1.

They are making fun of the Sharks fans on the radio here. They said the tv broadcast showed some Sharks fans in the front rows eating a salad watching the game.

Now those are real playoff Hockey fans. Forget the hotdog and soda, no beer in San Jose. Just green tea and lattes.

Absolutely pathetic performance at home for the Sharks.

That would be the Sharts ha ha. That's a substantial loss on SJ's part.

I love it - Boston is doing another fantastic job of going down in the playoffs!

I see Philly managed to win. What a shame.

I'm a bit surprised that Phoenix hasn't done much. The wins have not exactly been convincing for Detroit but when ya get to the end of the game and your score is higher, well, the winner is the winner. Games 3 and 4 will be revealing.

It was a minor push but the player fell badly into the boards. NHL players should wear cages on their helmets.

His skate snagged the ice and he was already falling down. He's more lucky he didn't break his leg!

Vancouver's Raffi Torres is a goon. Hopefully he gets suspended for the entire playoffs.

Big time cheapshot from Torres on Seabs last night at the UC. Vancouver may win the series, but at some point they will find a team that have the players that will give back whatever the Canucks can bring. The Hawks simply don't have the bodies to match up with a healthy Vancouver squad. I hope we get some payback tomorrow. Torres should be gone the rest of the season. First game back after a 4 game suspension and he almost kills Seabrook.

That bastard is cleared to play. No anything by Colin Campbell - AMAZING. The dumb shit the NHL does - and does not do - sometimes amazes me.

That guy has a bounty on his head. He'll get his.

Sabres take a disappointing loss at home 4 - 2 to the Flyers. That is 2 straight. One more loss at home and they are toast. Ryan Miller needs to start making big saves at critical moments if the Sabres are to advance. He is clearly getting out played.

...watching the Bruins - Habs game on a NESN feed. I could not believe the homers on the broadcast. Actively whining about checks the Habs were making and the non calls from the refs. These guys make Hawk Harrelson in Chicago (notorious homer) a world class mediator.

Been out of town and haven't had much chance to watch the playoffs yet. Exceptfor the Predators/Ducks.confused smiley........But the Sharks desperately need to win tonight. From what I've heard of game 2 they were embarassingly bad.

Incredible. I'll admit I didn't stick with it. but let's hope this inspires tehm to big and better things...Like playing defense once in a while.

The Sabres survive an onslaught by Philly to tie the series at 2 games apiece. Ryan Miller comes up big with his second shutout by the same score of 1 - 0.
