Mats Zuccarello Aasen. Number 36. Three seasons ago he played my local team Frisk Asker Tigers here in Norway and we won the series. Last season he was awarded MVP in Sweden on the team MODO. Last week New York Rangers callled him up from Hartford. This week, first he scored the winning goal in overtime for the Rangers in Madison Square Garden, and last night he sealed the victory over Dallas away by scoring the final goal in the shootout. The third smalles player in NHL but as they said about his shootout goal tonigh: What a beauty!

His first NHL goal in overtime at MSG this week:

Winning the shootout in Dallas tonight. What a beauty!

Wish I could enjoy these games live but what can a poor boy do? Great week Mats!

There's more excitment with Russia winning the world juniors in Buffalo than at any Sabres game. And I'm a Sabres season ticket holder. That's sad.

San Jose is in last place in their division, 10th overall in the conference but basically tied for 7th, as of 1-9-11 at 5PM CST. Long way to go yet for the crickets to be permanently chirping in San Jose - but it's looking really good for that to happen ha ha.

He finally emerges from his bunker! Two massive beatdowns by the Sabres can do that to a fella. That was just routine. I'll send ya some chicken wings to cheer you up!!!spinning smiley sticking its tongue out Your a passionate fan Fred.

In the end, the most joy comes from the stoned silence of the Canadian fans after blowing a third period 3-0 lead to LOSE the gold medal. Love it immensely

Buffalo has 41 pts San Jose has 47. At the end of the year I like San Jose's chances a lot better than Buffalo's.

Well the kids pulled them thru to a 5-3 win. It wasn't a beating like Howe delivered to Washington on Long Island but we'll take it.

So will Nabokov report to the Islanders??? He says he won't but Russians love money more than the game.

Flyers with a redemption win yesterday and a smackdown of the 'Hawks. Too early to boast, but at least the Fly Guys are playing well and lead the league in points, much to the dismay of EVERYONE else who likes hockey, especially the league office of Gary Buttman and his buddie Colin Campbell.
