Marvelous! The original music video, with Jagger's hilarious antics and outfit, brings Hey Negrita alive, and this girl's reaction-video ratchets it up further.
A rather ordinary song (by Stones standards, at least) becomes a fountain of joy.
Rather ordinary? I'd call it rather special by Stones standards, not a Top10 hit, but sweet guitars and drums making for a funky rocking reggae track, have they done anything else like it ? Pretty Beat Up maybe, also with 'inspiration' by Ronnie.
Quote Testify As an Italian I love when Mick sings "come si chiama ?"Fantastic !
I'm Italian too and I really like this song but I think it's not where you come from for the pronunciation that Mick has but matters of taste ... greetings to everyone from Liguria Sea ...
About the lyrics... "¿Cómo se llama?" or "Come si chiama?" "Hey conchita" or "Hey Chiquitita?"? "Mueve las caderas" or "Mueve las grasas"? At 1:42, before "Do It Up Now" does he sings "Nu te las cosa tas"? [www.azlyrics.com]

Oh, boy... If only they played this on the upcoming tour.
Is there anything politically incorrect about its title in today's oversensitive world? Negrita is Spanish for "little black girl."
I was not there in 1976 or so to see and hear this live but I can see the audience all moving in unison to this groovy, funked up piece of dirty beauty.
I would give my beloved pink lawnmower just to hear this once more live.
They should dig this one out, just as they did with Dancing With Mr D.
Love it, as I do the whole album. Black & Blue, the songs, the image, the aura around them at the time, the European tour in '76 - decadence indeed with some great songs.
Hey Negrita, like Hot Stuff, is irresistible. Loved the version on the Knebworth boot even more than the studio version, both are mighty fine, funky Stones joints.
Memory Motel, Fool To Cry; a pair of sublime ballads. Sharing space with cool, spare rock'n'roll (Hand of Fate, Crazy Mama), super cool jazz (Melody), and Meters-style funk workouts in Negrita & Hot Stuff.
The run of albums from Black & Blue to Undercover, including the excellent 'Sucking in the Seventies', is one hell of a brilliant stretch.
