Is there another BA strike? Sorry about that. Life is to short to put your worries into the hands of an airliner. Many tours ago I started to fly into shows the day before. After having lost a flight and arrived to the first of the two August 1990 Wembley shows just two - 2 - minutes before show start I said to myself never again. Don't trust any airliner. I have nightmares about coming to late to shows but it have never happened. Even if I have had my times breaking the rules of travel the day before. And I guess good old SAS i.e. Scandinavial Airlines are quite good compared to the larges ones. By the way I stopped using Heathrow as a hub many years ago. Same with CDG Paris. Life is too short. Even at work I always fly in the night before.

Well yeah BA is pretty shitty. But man, do US carriers blow!!!!! After traveling for over 17 years using US carriers and comparing them with a few European carriers, several Asian carriers, and many middle eastern carriers. The US carriers are uniformly TERRIBLE!
