I think it's a little gem as well. Can't understand the antipathy so many seem to have towards it.

OK, I'm not normally the troll...but haven't ever really liked it.
I think it is aptly titled, meaning when I listen to it, I suffer through it.

this is true and you do have to give credit where credit is due. Excellent title!

Yes, you certainly have to give Mick credit for the title....it's like a 'buyer beware' sticker.

Several nice ballads on B2B - "Suffering" "Already Over Me" and, of course, "How Can I Stop".

I do like "Thief in the Night"....although it should have been titled "Keef in the Night".

MemoFromTinaTurner, I'm interested- what is it about the song "Always Suffering" that you like? What makes it special? Keep in mind you might inspire some people you are reading this (such as me!) to reappraise the song... Cheers!

For me it's not a gem, I like it though. It has a nicely romantic atmosphere, quiet acoustic guitar, lovely harmonies between Jagger, Richards and jazzy Watts. It's like sitting outside, in the dark, after having BBQ, staring at the fire... then pick up the guitar and enjoy yourself.
