I am curious what football experts here think about
Manchester United doing a tour of the states. They
are playing the KC Wizards, is that something to "must see"?

I try to look all this stuff up, but the football world
is so splintered in leagues and countries and players etc etc etc
I trust the good people here more than any of the stuff I read "out there".

Why and what is the deal with these games?..
isnt Manchester United a team that only plays in England?....
sorry if if this is a dumb question, I just cant wrap my
head around what this is about.....I am still learning this,
and I am sure we can stretch this thread to 100 pages withOUT it being mainly a flame war.

If you guys were visiting here...would you go to this game? [kansascity.sbnation.com]

European big clubs like Man U, Barça, Real or AC Milan sometimes tour the world or Far East because of tune up and financial reasons in the summer.
Manchester United is very popular in Singapore, Thai, India and Hong Kong, too.
I guess it will be fun to see star players taking into consideration the practice game.
You have to see it to believe it. You may have a new discovery.

I liked Manchester United when Juan Sebastián Verón conducted the team.
He was (is ) genius.

Speaking of American Soccer,
I saw The New York Cosmos in 1975 or 76 here in Tokyo, Japan.
They had star players like Carlos Alberto, Franz Beckenbauer, Giorgio Chinaglia and Pelé.
A good old memory.

Thank you for the input Toru ....

We have decided to see at least a couple of regular Wizards games
but I am not sure about seeing a practice game. I fell for this
game because of the "balls to walls play" in World Cup, and to
see a team just practicing .... I dont know. I like the NFL too,
but the NFL presason practice games are kind of lame....... thank again for your input.

Maybe we could change the topic already to WC 2014? And we debate wether Holland will qualify or make the finals again and lose against...who?? Anyone I guess! If Brazil will be the host country and new WC? Or will Germany as expected come to full fruitation in 2014? hot smiley

The WC is over for 2 weeks now, there's more important things to discuss...the upcoming Bundesliga Season?

I envy you because Van Gaal is in the Bundesliga. His behaviour is almost always funny to see. That's why I miss him here: he's always in for a good laugh. He must feel very comfortable in Germany, especially in Bayern.

Nope, they learned from the best, so you will have to wait for the
"RARITIES EDITION ESSENTIAL COLLECTOR'S TRACKS" for bonus tracks... [www.target.com]

ps
notice the name of the last track? it is named for what everyone is doing after listening to this for 10 seconds.

Sorry Fanny, I would have, but the shipping cost was prohibitive.
My nephews need another BIG BOOM BOX bacause the last one was
"somehow" broken after too many renditions of "world best drum
solos" and somehow all of their "play along at home" drums disappeared
too ..... so I promised to include some play along at home vevuluzas
for the kids, you know, so they can hone thier music skills, it has
nothing to do with driving my sister nuts (nuttier) ... or anything grinning smiley.

Imagine a collaboration...some kind of a " Vuvumba orchestra"...hellsbells...smiling bouncing smiley

You just have to buy a CD with Olodum and you will get the Brazil rythm.

You should arrange a parrade with vuvuzelas and holodum in the streets somewhere in the North Esat of Brazil - either Salavdor or Recife / Olinda and you will have a huge hit.

The article seems to have changed. These friendly matches are usually rather boring, and don't represent the way the teams would play when it mattered. I wouldn't have gone.
