The Germans will beat England with 2-1 in the final.

So there will be a penalty shootout?

The last two friendly games Holland played

Holland - Mexico Ghana 4-1
Holland - Hungary 6-1

Not bad I would say

I can't see anyone beating Brazil who I think will beat Spain in the final.

USA looked like total crap vs. Turkey (1st half) last week, but came back in the 2nd half. Josy Altidore - 20 year old striker - he's the sum total of the Americans offense. They got big time problems putting the ball in the net. Too mechanical still. England romps 4(5)-1. They just can't hang.

Well putting aside the fact that they beat Spain last year. Yesterday they won 3-0 and got 2 goals from Edson Buddle. So not only can they hang. But they will beat England on saturday.

Yeah but Australia sucks. Always have. Whenever they play them you wait for a rugby game to break out. Minor problem. Of course, that doesn't mean they can't abuse the limeys circa 1780. Put em to sleep. I feel bad for Rooney, Gooch is a step slow, and will hack him good in the US backfield. I bet you see a red card for the US on a defensive challenge/breakaway.

I think only Nigeria will survive the group stage, and they won't make it to the quarterfinals.

Edson Buddle baybee - I remember him with the Columbus Crew. Went out there on a road trip for the playoffs vs. DC United and he was striker for them.

Looking forward to it. Its a month long holiday really

Already got the DO NOT DISTURB - WORLD CUP IN PROGRESS sign ready

As an Englander, I go in full of hope rather than expectation as always

Its the last chance for a lot of our 'stars' to make their mark, so its really up to them now.

I predict we'll get off to a shakey start but get stronger as we go

Not bad I would say

And not true either.

Holland 2 - 1 Mexico

Anyway, Holland for me is the real favourite (outside Brazil)

Brazil
Holland
Argetina

All the others have no real chance.

I always love watching Holland play. But they always seem to @#$%& it up. Inner team fighting/squabling etc

Wouldnt mind seeing them fulfil their potential though (if England can't of course)
