Is it normal to go through football withdrawl? I did not see
any warning labels on the side of the TV screen during any matches grinning smiley

The MLB All-star game helped a little (but was a weak ass game) and now .....I am jonsing.....
Looks like we are going to be forced to attend some KC Wizards games. They say it is fun and
very affordable, but I know the games will not be nearly as fun or as important as the World Cup mathces. But I'm jonsing ...got to move.

I guess the next REAL football event is the Olympics 2012.

I am following the Tour de France now. Some nice mountain stages coming up the next days. Just like football I have liked cycling (especially Tour de France) ever since I was a little child. You could give it a try. Tour de France has a very informative website.

Just imagine Contador winning the Tour.

So they won:

The tour maybe
Wimbledon
WC 2010 South-Africa

These are IMO the three mayor sports events world-wide. It's fantastic just to win one of them.... Very, very well done Spain

No, it's not. Euro 2012 is, although it (obviously) lacks the South American teams. The Olympics are a youth tournament, basically - although each team gets to add three older players to their lineup.

Harm, weren't it you who wanted this thread to be closed (I never understand such requests)? And now you're collaborating here with our old enemy! Tsjeeey! I think I'm gonna ask this thread to be closed down (just all jokes, Harm).

Hey Max, if you have any urgent football questions, ask them. We'll do our best.

Hansie, I always follow the tour if possible with half an eye. But it's great also for the beautiful images of beautiful France. And the mountains are always marvellous, even if 'nothing' happens. To see those guys biking even slower than I do is unbelievable. But it's also 'hard' to see if they're in real pain. The Tour is beautiful but tough!

Hey Silver Dagger, I miss your posts here! You were great! If you would start a Champions League Thread I'll watch as many games as possible.

Absolutely. Even if you don't like cycling, it is still wonderful to watch the broadcast on TV. What a lovely scenery.

It seems the Brazilians have to hand over their nickname 'divine canaries' to the Spanish. Our new nickname is of course 'the orange butchers'. On the back of our shirts the text (black on orange): WATCH OUT!

Si amigo David Silva is one of the greatest middlefield player in the world, still don´t understand why he moved outside, well the money, Real Madrid wanted before and Barcelona as well, but both teams have covered that position.
Silva has been deciding player with Valencia winning trofees as well, and with Torres, Xavi, Casillas and him, best players two years ago at Euro Cup in Austria. He and Villa in Valencia shoot ephoque.
He is from Gran Canaria, town of Arguineguín, southern Gran Canaria, around Mogán and Maspalomas for sure most of you know that. ¡¡¡Great Player si señor!!!
He will be one the best players for sure at Premiere League, no doubt about it, you´ll see...
