Anyone still don't think that Germany is playing great football? I don't think Germany has ever played at this level before. The old cynicism and cold mechanical play is gone.

Four goals in three of our games. Germany is playing the best football of the tournament with Spain. Unfortunately one has to go out otherwise this would be the dream final. Good luck tonigh Spain. Good luck Carlos man. Have some beers.

I'm off to see Crosby Stills and Nash tonight at the Royal Albert hall to celebrate. Carry On...we are coming!!!!!

Don't cry for me Argentina
The truth is I never loved you
All through this Saturday
I laughed myself senseless
As you failed
To go the distance

The Most Interesting Coach turned out to be a bullshitter when it came to defensive play. WEEEEEEEEEE HOOOOOOOOOOOOO there were some holes in the back. Swiss cheese defense - the kind the rats feast on! Ruud Gullitt laughing at them on US TV right now. Schweinsteiger went around two STRIKERS in front of the goal to score. Good luck to Germany. The bastids.

The only thing to beware of Carlos is that Paraguay will will play 4-5-1 for sure. Similar to Switzerland or Italy.

Are you countin your chickens, carlitosbaez? You know that's bad luck. I wouldn't go to sleep on Paraguay. They got some hot chicks in the stands. You know that can take you a long way.grinning smiley

Yes Paraguay trainer, Tata Martino, by the way he played over here in Tenerife with Valdano, Redondo, etc, when we beat Real Madrid and gave two Ligas Barcelona as a player from Newells great player Martino.
He said yesterday the only option to win Spain is from the back and staying there, Mourinho style we are expecting, if Spain scores soon it´ll be easier if not, let´s pray!!!
Found this solution to attack Paraguay!!

The big question is: was Argentina so extremely bad or Germany so wonderfully good? My answer: Argentina was very bad, Germany played very constantly and well, though not spectacular. But Argentina was no party at all: a bunch of schoolfootball playing guys. This isn't the tournament of the 'stars', but of the teams. The two South American football powers got football lesson by Holland and Germany.

Congrats to Havo, Silver Dagger, SCL and all other (half)Germans! Silver Dagger, I hope your team overestimates itself like you do overestimate them!

Next game Paraguay - Spain. Of course I'm hoping Spain will win, they play very well and I would like to watch Germany against Spain. Then Germany will be really tested. Anyway this was a fair game, no problems with the ref, no wrong, decisive calls. Hopefully the next game will be the same in that respect!

Good luck to Carlitos from Tenerife, Espana!

Argentina didn´t know the feeling to have a goal against them,
not to say 2 or 3 or 4. It´s all psychology, and germany didn´t
let them play their game-and played their´s instead. Very good, by the way.

LOL kleermaker, the same question was asked to Roland Waterreus on Dutch TV. How original.
It made me think of Louis van Gaal: Ben ik nou zo slim, of ben jij nou zo dom ?
