QuoteMathijs QuoteTaylor1 Long winded ? Nope just brilliant. And this nonsense about his playing being long winded .He hardly ever plays a solo that is evenlong or not concise. His guitar playing was perfect for the band.Woods solos are no less long winded.Youmay not like his playing but his solos are not long winded Sorry that's not true at all. Taylor's playing was extremely long wi

QuoteWorriedAboutYou I always preferred Ron's playing and the looser rock n' roll sound he bought to the Stones over Talyor. I find Taylor's playing too distracting, long-winded and even a bit dated now. You make a legit point imo.

Dig into the Stones prolific catalog, and there are many underrated gems. Did into the Beatles limited catalog, and there are many overrated turds.

QuoteNashvilleBlues QuoteElmo Lewis I understand that Billy wanted an equal cut of the money. Mick said "See ya". That's a shame. Take the band in a slightly new direction or save money. Billy was almost in The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. I believe Billy Preston played on Saint of Me and Wandering Spirit.

Quotecaschimann QuoteStonedRambler Quoteslewan QuoteStonedRambler Quoteclapton71 The question I pose is how much more $$$ do they need? They could easily lower their prices for tix but Sir MJ thinks differently. I honestly don't think the vibe and mood will be super great on this tour. The promoters make the prices. That's why in Germany you pay 600€ for a golden circle seat and in anot

I recently attended a Formula E-prix event outside of Rome, Italy. All of the F1's were electric and that was novel. The most fun for me was all the exhibitions they had on the grounds. Lots of interesting stuff, interactive too. As for the race, I get that people really like it, but probably something I won't attend again. Maybe.

It would have been positive if you just stated your preference. You couldn't leave it at that. You had to troll Jagger, which is very typical of you. Are you a Rolling Stones fan?

Quotetreaclefingers Quoterbk As brilliant as "Miss You" was originally it's become the hit the restroom/buy another beer/break song in concert in recent years. It just plods and seeing Ron and Keith "taking a break," seated on the drum riser is irksome especially given the cost of tickets. They should be tearing the p-ss out of "Miss You" but these days it'

Quotebv This thread is depressing. And offensive. Why? Because people are asked to say what they dislike. It is all about dislike. Next step is hate, Then what comes after? If you do not have anything nise to say, then why publish it on IORR? Give me a break. Yet you tolerate many offensive comments about the Stones, when I thought this forum was for fans who celebrate the Stones. Lot

Quotemicha063 Michael from Germany. My uncle listened to the Stones, when I was 6. That was in 1969. In 1975 I recorded some Stones Tunes with my first cassette recorder. In 1976 I saw the tour poster and was very sad, that my parents didn't let me go... in 1977 I bought my first records, which were "Relics", by Pink Floyd, "New skin for the old ceremony", by Leonard Coh

QuoteHairball Don't Stop = lightweight, artificial, saccharine, sappy, lacking, inferior, poor... But it was nice to have a new tune live, and Ronnie's guitar camera gimmick was the most interesting thing about it. Good description……of your post.

QuoteHairball It's safe to say that without American music (blues, rock, r&b, etc.), neither the Beatles or Stones would exist as we know them. But it's also safe to say it was the Beatles who first laid the foundation for all the other British bands that followed, and without the Beatles no others would exist as we know them. It's safer to say that without the Beatles,

Putting a basher in his place (for US tour that made sense - was necessary) Two unsuitable rhythm section men. (In a rhythm and blues band) Having not released a new album in 17 years.
