QuoteProfessorWolf can't believe everyone's after bill when ronnie wore those giant wacky yellow gloves that look like they belong on a cartoon character but somehow he still pulls off and looks cool in them I'm pretty sure that's to keep his hands as safe as possible before playing. Maybe he's had problems with the cold weather and movement in his fingers. He did th

First time I've logged in here for years & rather than wading through 262 pages I Wonder if anyone would tell me if Mick T would of seen any money at all for the Goats Head Reissue? Even if it's just for them using his image, as he's in some of the photos advertised for it all over the media...

Glad to see them active and performing together. Found it slightly random, considering they already got that Outstanding Contribution type award in '93. Also Faces, although well known at the time weren't a giant UK hit crossover group. The masses would only really know the song Stay With Me. Normally the acts that get it have 12 or so monster hit radio songs and all different gener

Quotediverseharmonics Quoteslewan I'm pretty sure that Jagger studies the audicene reactions to every move he makes/has made Yes. And that's exactly why they don't play anything new, rare, unusual, different, or recorded in last three decades. Audience reaction is KING. Its all down to marketing and ticket selling strategy...which it always was but now...geez....couldn't

Great night. Highlights were opening with SFM, those riffs sounded satisfying. Fool To Cry was a nice surprise, never thought I'd see anything of Black and Blue in the set. Slipping Away was great, especially as the Moon was out in the sky. I think they should drop Midnight Rambler though. Although it's a good one to get the crowd going, it's far too long and they've done

I'm sure it's been discussed many times before in other threads, but how much roughly do you think each of the 4 get for a show in London etc. ? After expenses.

QuoteBowieStone Quotebrownsugar86 He’s such an embarrassment to the Stones going to stuff like this and Xfactor with One Direction. He looks like he’s desperate to be popular with the youth. I can’t imagine him actually liking the music, he just looks fame hungry. Even Mick knows to keep away with U.K. tv and media. These comments are an embarrassment to Stones fans. For my part he can have a

QuoteAntoineParis I heard no england this time Don't blame them actually. I'm from England and the majority of crowds here are the worst. Very cold and stand-offish, until they're drunk and then they only want the hits. I'm sure Mick can feel that. And that's why they got out of here and broke America (and the rest of the world) God bless them.

Nice article from a 1982 newspaper I came across Showing Mick is not as mean as people make out My Dad had saved the paper for history because of the Falklands war story on the cover.

Went today and loved it, spent 3 hours there. Managed to sneak a few photos of the outfits (I've realised why they don't want photography, it's so you buy the book with photos and postcards of them in the gift shop) Bills Hyde Park '69 outfit was there lent by him which was great. There's a vid towards the end talking about most of the players Stu, Nicky Hopkins, Chuck

Keith looked so cool at the opening night, he needs to dress like that onstage and ditch the bright coloured shirts. And is it me, or does Ronnie look as though he's aged quite rapidly during his 60's as though he's shrinking, still appears in good spirit and health though.

Quotemtaylor Mick Taylor really upset: If it is true, then it is a very bad behavior from Mick and Keith. And it confirms our feelings that they did not split up in best shape after 2014. Something was wrong. Thanks for sharing. Do we know if it's actually MT who writes the status updates? Or his management?

Slightly off topic, but still 1981 related....I'm looking to put together Mick's outfit of the Green Football jersey for a tribute gig. Does anyone know if he was wearing shoulder pads under his jersey? Or if that was just the design of the shoulders in the jersey. I'm from England so I'm also getting American Football and Baseball jersey's mixed up as I browse the

Great Keith interview, back on form with some fresh witty answers. The stuff on Bill was interesting. Mick sent a note - by that I'd imagine it was an email. The Penge station quote I didn't really understand..... because they clearly would mind if that happened because that would be even further from the facts.
