I saw my first Stones concert in Clearwater, Florida.

I recall the show was on a Thursday night, we had to miss a day of school(which was great at that age!) They had just been on Ed Sullivan the previous Sunday night so it was amazing to see them right there in front of us four days later! The opening bands(I think) were The McCoy's and The Standell's. The show was at a high school football stadium. The Stones came on and opened with Everybody Needs Somebody To Love, Around And Around, Off The Hook and Little Red Rooster...then high school football players(I learned that in the paper the next day) started heckling them about their long hair and abruptly the show ended...BIG disappointment! I would have gone beserk at these sporty guys for boo-ing the Stones off stage after 4 numbers....GOSH!!!!
