Well, it's the Daily Mail so you can expect it to focus on the tabloid material, rather than for example her later interest in gardening/ allotments. Odd, it doesnt mention the title and author of the book (an occasional forum contributor). Of more concern, is accuracy. The photo of Anita and Keith in their Chelsea home is dated 6 October 1970. Actually, Keith was in Germany at the time

QuoteTornAndFried QuoteTheflyingDutchman Why does he sell it? For Christ sake one of the most precious memories, keep it in the family. Like other wealthy British rock stars Bill Wyman will have a big estate tax when he dies so better to start selling off his belongings and property while he is still alive. Anyway he has a ton of stuff and this is just a small fraction of it. True, but after

QuoteMathijs As I understand it, the Stones weren't all that unhappy about Taylor leaving but they were mad at him for his timing -right before they would announce the Tour of the America's starting in May 1975. Taylor wasn't the most likeable or easy to work with person in 1973 and 1974. He was addicted, unhappy, moody, depressed, and constantly expressing his unhappiness with

QuoteTornAndFried QuoteJordyLicks96 Let's put it this way, by 1989 and on if Mick, Keith or Charlie could no longer go on touring, they would have disbanded. No Charlie, no more Stones. This is in 2005 now speaking. Say this was in the 70's, I feel like they would have gotten someone else. Even Mick talked about going on without Keith after his drug bust in '77. Mick (March 6, 1

Just read an article which says Best probably got " between 1 and 6 million quid. (RTE). Journalism at it's best, eh? On a more factual note Pete's current band are doing some gigs in Ireland in March (the Republuc that is). Apparantly Pete has some relatives who live there. I think John Lennon also had some Irish ancestory ?

Simple question (in a complex subject): Does EU Law cover releases in all territories/countries of the world? Or, for example do I see a business opportunity for Stones product in let's say. Papa New Guinea ?

Interesting article, but I couldn't help thinking...what has he achieved, other than staying alive and having a lot of sex with many women? Most of his 'projects' seem to go nowhere ...perhaps I am being a bit unfair. In fact, I was probably getting a bit distracted thinking was he trying to do out do Mick in regards to the Stones girls of the time. There was little reference to

QuoteJoT839 Not sure if this has been discussed, but a new radio documentary and interview with Anna Wohlin was done recently by Swedish National radio. Indeed an interesting interview were she straight up says that Thorogood was responsible for his death (and she has always believed so). Unfortunately it is only in swedish, link below Sr.se What, no Swedish members on this site?! Just

Quoteswimtothemoon If Brian came back to life and took a peek at this thread....I think he get back in the pool. I'm not so sure. As has been said by many who knew him, he was a narcissist so I would imagine that he would be quite happy that people are pouring over the minutiae of his life.

What you see in the Stripped example above are the PUBLISHING copyrights being renewed, rather than the recording rights. Only the latter has been subject to EU changes of late. Publishing is also a minefield however. Look at the dates and those who are good at subtraction will see that renewals for these compositions have been taken at the 28 year point from its initial registration. Now, 28 p

Just read a review of a newish Paul McCartney biography by Phillip Norman in The Spectator (UK). Generally positive. Mention is made of the royalties which first drummer Pete Best has received so far for his 11 or so contributions to Anthology 1. Eight million British Pounds. It's a staggering amount and all credit to Apple etc for making it happen. Not sure what the legalities were, Best

It reminds me of John Lennon's divorce from Cynthia (1968). I believe his action mentioned her own adultery. Presumably his own relationship with Yoko was just spiritual (though I think she may have suffered her first miscarriage by then). Of course, later on he blamed his legal team. So alright then. Oh well.

I (and Mrs L) are making our first trip to Australia next month (also visiting NZ). We got a message from the tour company to ring them back...'but there is nothing to worry about'. I went to Sussex and spoke to builders/relatives and saw with my own eyes what they kept behind after the looting (Brian's velvet trousers for instance).
