yes,I see what you mean but with one of them having to pull the bass duties maybe each could take his turn on his particular studio performances? Taylor does have the upper hand on some songs. I just thought the outcome might be a little better since then.

Often wondered if the stones could pull off having mick t. and ronnie. they could dispense with a bass player and let them alternate on bass and lead guitar. or maybe it's just a pipedream? (pardon the pun!)

a few years ago when Pearljam released a string of sbs from their tour, there was virtually no mixing or overdubs, minimum artwork and packaging and little promotion. I would venture to say more effort have been put into some of the more well known bootlegs so every release would not have to be a full blown event. Especially since now the shows could be made available as downloads only. Willie Nel

appreciate the back-up,Gazza. in Rolling With The Stones page 129, Bill writes "Muddy very definitely was not up a ladder painting the studio..." And you have a point, melillo. The static interview occurred on swiss radio(?) in 1970,I think. Since so much of the coveted material is from the 63-71 era I wonder if Klein is the holdup. Then again with his reputation for greed one would thin

According to the liner notes of Elvis Alternate Golden Hits Vol 3,Keith sought his own copy of the "Little Sister" sessions after hearing about it while on the No Security Tour. I wonder if he was worried about the Elvis estate?

In a house full of drunk and high people in Arlington tx trying to explain to a self proclaimed Stones authority that Mick Taylor was the one to start giving Jagger guitar lessons, not Brian Jones!(Mick said in a 70s interview Brian would never take the time). But still a lovely time had by all.

Have you ever listened to Mick's opinion about bootlegs on "Static In The Attic"? Of course if you don't listen to bootlegs I guess not. And Keith is notorious for "losing" tapes!! The fact is boots just wets the appetite of the dedicated fan and doesnt affect the casual fan at all. There have been some labels(like Swingin' Pig) who were paying performer royalti

johnny cash, waylon, buck owens. now porter-and too many more to mention. All the greats are leaving us the last few years. How long can Ray Price and George Jones hold on? only "ganga" keeps ray going! The pure country that still would coexist with rockers and bluesman alike on the same stage gives the "generic country" we must endure now sound even more plastic. Of course Gram

sorry for any confusion. I was referring to NRMV1 as second and RMV1 as first. I first heard this version on a no label vinyl boot in 1974 called "Beautiful Delilah". the fidelity was awful on it. I was ordering boot lps from N. Carolina and the first 4 I bougtht were All Meat Music, Stoneaged 69,Bright lights Big city(on TMOQ) and Stars in the Sky(on CBM) so obviously I was let down!

jmarko, both remasters are an obvious improvement. You seem to have "shook the dirt off" very well. Its kinda tuff for me,though. While I like the clarity of the second remaster better, the first remaster seems to have a better overall balance. I listened on headphones so maybe if I put it through the speakers and cranked it up I might get a better idea! I'm saving them both, though!

All points of view are very valid. As much as I love seeing the Stones live now(and I never want them to quit!) it never compares to watching them for the first time on ed sullivan or seeing my first concert in ft. worth 72. It takes so much planning and money now plus having to contend with all the idiots at the concerts who only see it as a social event and never pay attention to the music. Tha

I've seen these all over ebay for $6-10. I got the Ya Ya s for 10.99 total and much to my surprise it seems to be the mickboy remaster! It even included the artwork among the others in the foldout. By the way, the artwork is very nice and includes a poster w/lyrics. The main reason I havent bought any others is I have all the songs and outtakes included with each cd on other comp. But if a p
