I can't see why people think it's important , what the cause of his death was. Rather unpolite, IMO. Surely, when he's not even buried yet.

I adore the song, really. So much Mick Taylor in there, and Jagger's vocals are wonderfull there as well. However, I do not think that the song would work in a stadium. A small club gig, sure, but not in a stadium. I'm afraid that the song is too fragile for a stadium, and people would not be patient enough to listen to the solo's. In fact it's too delicate, too bea

Quoteterraplane The three tracks Mick Taylor says he co-wrote and was promised credit for: Moonlight Mile Till The Next Goodbye Time Waits For No One Well, that happen to be 3 fantastic, sensitive and straight out of the heart songs. By the way, I saw him on his bike during the Easter weekend, enjoying his ride and the Dutch sunshine !

My Tattoo You t-shirt, which was sent to me on 26 Dec 2020, arrived today in the post, in Purmerend, Holland. 2 days ago, I sent them a mail that I still hadn't received anything. They told me they would ship another one, within 2 days, which I consideras being very friendly. They don't have to trust me, and I chose the cheapest posting method. I mailed them today, not to send the

I ordered the Red Tattoo You t-shirt a month ago, but haven't received it yet in Purmerend, Holland. Maybe due to Brexit, or problems at the frontier ? Or maybe a postman is wearing it by now

I went last sunday afternoon, I was just in time : Saw the exhibition, had a swim in the hotel pool, and several meals in their rerstaurant in Groningen. Just in time. All 3 are forbidden now Really nice exhibition, it took me about 4 hours, it wasn't crowded, but it wasn't quiet either. But you really feel safe inside, lots of security, mouthmasks etcetera. Concerning the excite

QuoteMAF I remember the sound of Tubular Bells running to the front row in 1982... So do I, but it wasn't Tubelar Bells, it was another song from Mike Olfield, but I do not remember which one.Not a famous song. I tried to find out a couple of years ago, but it stranded. I hope someone else knows, it made a heavy impression on me, 38 years ago

Yeah, you are probably right. I see Mick, the way I want him to be. Like in the 70's or even 80's : bit provocating, showing off, like I wanted to be. I want to keep that in mind. As a souvenir. But time has changed. It would be embarrassing, to be provocating when you're 77.

I live at 15 kilometers from Amsterdam, and work there. I am a bit prejudiced. I always find it hard to see Clifford so close with Mick : he looks so decent, upperlip, so non-Bohemian, so non-rock musician. I He may be very kind, and maybe he's a good laugh, but I can't imagine going to have a few beers with him, and discuss womens asses If you know what I mean.

IMHO Plundered is one of the best Stones songs ever, due to the "Tumblin Dice feeling", background vocals, and also the fantastis lyrics. Scarlet can in no way be compared to this one.

"Don't stop" sounds like from a band which you get on a bad weddingparty. And "Miss you" is very very overrated, in my opinion. Especially live !

The area is still lively and pleaseant, I get there every Friday. A bit too lively it was maybe, with loads of noisy and drunk English party people dressed up like fools. Now with the corona, it's totally different : very quit as the bars use the 1.5 meter distance, hardly any tourists, and as the girls are no longer allowed to work at the windows. Time will tell, how it will end up.

@ Humf : It was called The Last Waterhole, in an alley at the Warmoesstraat in Amsterdam ( Oudezijds Armsteeg ). It was owned by the Hells Angels, they did the security. It's gone by now, and The Last Waterhole moved to the Leidseplein ( main touristic bar square in Amsterdam ), we used to have fanclubdays there on Sundayafternoons, from The Forty Licks Fanclub. Nice place indeed !

QuoteMartinB Anybody here seen Aretha Frankling in Amazing Grace? I finally saw the film yesterday (in a cinema with good sound system) and it is truly incredible. The best music film I have ever seen, and on of the best musical experiences of my life. I will go see the movie in Amsterdam, Martin And again a big Thank You for the ticket last time in Amsterdam ! In Micks words, "Only his brother was talented", I am really surprised that , after having said that, Liam is willing to open for the Stones. The first few albums from Oasis are fantastic, loaded with energy.

I prefer Amsterdam to Arnhem, but maybe it is because in Amsterdam it was the first time I saw them since 2014 in Belgium. That makes you more enthousiastic, I guess. And I live near Amsterdam, maybe that helps....

Quotemarcovandereijk It's been pretty common for the band to make their artwork more lousy than previous ones. I thought the gorilla was the lowest point, but they manage to take it one step beyont that. That is quite an achievement. They're still the bad boys they were. Now, let's hope they'll surprise us with shows that are even better than previous ones to compensate f

The merchandise from the Stones is poor, the last few years. Like GGRRRR is really kids stuff, this tour the Amsterdam Logo could be much better, Lucca was OK, but it's not that interesting anymore. No sleeveless t-shirts for men, and so on. I bought 2 shirts in Amsterdam, but am not convinced by the quality. Its big money though, people are queing up to spend 100 till 150 Euro in a mi
