As I allready mentioned : The ring looks cheap, Ronnie used to wear those cheap-looking rings as well. I would expect some more style in his jewelry.

I don't like the ring he is wearing. Looks a bit cheap. And the sneakers don't fit, either.

At least it's better than the artwork from GGRRR ! which makes me feel ashamed of being a Stones fan.

They put so much fun and emotion in their songs, which is sometimes missing with the Stones.

There are a lot of "wow" numbers made by the Faces. Lots of them are better than some Stones songs. The only problem is, that when I hear the Faces, it makes me wanna grab a few beers ( like they did ), and that's not always covenient at each moment of the day. They always give me a good time, the atmosphere is so great !

For songs like Hot Stuff, and many other particular Stones songs, I have to be in the right mood, to really get me out of my head. But then they hit me 100 %. Exept, for Rocks Off and Tumblin Dice, I'm always in the right mood for these 2

Seeing Mick Taylor, would be great ! I've seen Chris Jagger some years ago in the East of Amsterdam, he was really nice, good music and really low-profile. Worth going, for only 10 Euro

I've seen it in Groningen, it is really worth a visit. 2 hours from my home. Pretty relaxed and nice people. The City centre is much more relaxed compared to Amsterdam or Rotterdam. You will definetely enjoy a nice weekend, or a night or 2.

It was Holland based, they got problems with Stones management. I am sure Bert, Sjoerd and Hans are on this site, and they will be able to tell some more. A lovely magazine, with fantastic meetings in Stairways Cafe in Utrecht, Holland.

Who on earth is going to wear this ? It's sooo childish, sooo cheap . I feel ashamed being a fan, at this very moment.

I was there and I thought it was a pity, that they played big hits as well. It would have been a nice occasion to play e.g. Lady Jane, or more songs that they hardly ever play, instead of JJF etc. One big advantage : there were no lines to get a beer

The 10 % discount will definitely not pay the customs and shipping. These costs are about the same, as the price for the product. Such a pity, they have some nice stuff sometimes.

I like them both, and some of the shirts in the Carnaby shop as well. The only problem is that I live in Holland, and last time I paid 30 Euro taxes at the courier, for a 40 Euro t-shirt. Very sorry, but I'm not paying 70 euro's for any t-shirt. Without even trying if the size fits well. Sometimes you buy an XXL, the lenght is then OK, but when you raise your arms, the whole shirt lif

I wonder if it will be possible to buy merchandise outside the stadium, just before the concert. I haven't been to the Amsterdam Arena for a while. Does anyone knows how it was, in e.g. Madrid or Munich ? Buying merch from the site is very expensive considering taxes, and shipping etc. Definitely from Carnaby Street, since Brexit. And the Stones site, isn't too fast, as well.

I am not assuming that they are tired of their own songs, but I wonder how it comes that they don't get tired of it. I would, if I was a creative musician. How much challenge is there for Keith or Ronnie or Mick, to play Start me up, Miss you and Sympathy ? I can imagine there is some challenge for them in playing Mothers Little Helper or 19th Nervous Breakdown. See how the crowd react

They must get sicked and tired and bored, playing the same songs every night, for over many, many years. Especially for people being creative and loving music and art. As I can hardly hear these songs anymore without getting bored, how must it be like to play them , everytime ? And keep looking enthousiastic, as if you have just discovered them ?

Yes I did. She was really enthousiastic and said it was the best moment of her entire life. She has seen loads of shows, saw them in the USA as well, and she was still not believing she really met them. She was instructed not to wear any stones gear, if I remember well.

Quotebitusa2012 Could it also be that the fans know they’ll get the same set list as they got years and years ago? Nothing new to hear apart from perhaps Living in a Ghost Town. So why pay to see the same old same old. Pity. A new album, three or four new tracks and maybe, maybe some (some) of those sitting on the fence might have bought tickets. The Stones bought this on themselves perhaps? I

Plundered My Soul is a real favorite of mine, gives me really an Exile-feel, but I don't think it will work in a stadium. The lyrics, the guitars really need serious listening. The feel will be blown away in a large stadium, I guess.

QuoteAntoineParis Sound in the pit was great in 2017 I was in the first circle behind the pit, and the sound wasn't the worst, indeed. But the massive crowd, the 2 percent alcohol in the beer, and the same songs year after year, really started annoying me, although I have seen them 40 times. And after Arnhem in 2017, I just realised : for me it's over. But for everyone else : Enj

QuoteMathijs The Johan Cruijff Arena (old Amsterdam Arena) is just totally not suitable for any concert. And the current Stones, with a set of only 19 songs, without Charlie Watts, with mainly big hits I do not want to hear anymore, at these prices, in a venue totally unsuited for music: forget about it. Bring on El Mocambo! Mathijs Very well said, Mathijs. There you got it all. Except

You are lucky ! If they would have sent it from UK, you could easily count on 40 % VAT and taxes ! I got an email from them, telling it's not their fault, which I understand, and agree with. Eventhough, this was the last shirt I ordered from them .
