I am VERY glad to have this thread to see how everyone is fairing in different parts of our world. It seems more real than watching the TV news or visiting news websites. Keep it up. I live in the Philadelphia suburbs where everything is shutting down like elsewhere; schools, restaurants, all gatherings, etc. Many are working from home if they can which I am doing. I am officially retired

This post has got to be an attempt at humor or worse, simply a troll. Me? I'd rather look at old classic Playboy magazines than make love to a beautiful woman.

I went to all 3 shows and the first one was a low point for me among over 100 shows seen over the years since 1972. That memory has always stuck with me since I never really saw them play that poorly before, relatively speaking. The band was listless and uninspired, seeming to treat it as a run-through rehearsal for the pay-per-view two nights later - maybe saving their energy. Interestingly, t

MSG 1972 - My first show and only time I saw them with MT other than the guest shots in 2012-13 Hampton VA 1981 - The famous pay-per-view show and I got to meet Keith and Ronnie at the back stage after party Toad's Place 1989 - My first "club show" Paradiso Amsterdam (both shows) - Perhaps their middle age peak with amazing setlists and acoustic numbers Philadelphia 199

Theoretically speaking here. What if a popular artist covered an unreleased tune like Blood Red Wine? Would they need permission to release it for sale? Would ABKCO get royalties?

They tried once, but it didn't work Which 1989 show was that? Philly soundcheck it says. They also did the original intro at Toad's Place

I would vote 1972 since I saw my first show ever that year at MSG and was blown away. The other night, I was listening to the vinyl Brussels Affair from the deluxe box (a different show than the famous bootleg) and noticing some really cheesy keyboards from Billy Preston which I could well do without. Still the intensity of the final four tunes is quite amazing, especially Keith's riffin

It's interesting that bands like U2 and many others are way over the age when people started wisecracking about the Stones being over the hill. Once again the Stones clear the path for the followers.

I agree that the bench seating sorta sucks if you can't afford pit or floor. But is parking or public trans at the Rose Bowl any worse than Metlife (NJ) or FedEx (DC)? It just seems odd to use that as an excuse to skip a show within driving distance of your home base. I went to all the east coast shows within a three hour drive.

It's not just the band that is playing better than Zip Code and arguably since 1999-03. The No Filter production/staging and loud in-your-face guitars definitely add to the magic we are witnessing (I like the phrase shock and awe). Even the warhorses sound almost fresh to me and MR alone is the greatness we want to re-experience over and over; like the thrill ride at the amusement park you

Quotemaumau and after 25 years I'm beginning to luuuv YGMR! Me too. I used to wonder why they kept playing it in later years after the VL tours, like when they chose it for their short set at the Sandy benefit. But it's so obvious they love to play it, especially Keith, and it really rocks loud and hard this tour. Best in slot 2 when the audience is still in shock and awe stage,

Quoterstass QuoteJeter1984 Noticed in New Jersey there was a small VIP area behind the Pit that ran along the catwalk. Has this been at every show? I think yes. I noticed it also on the facebook feed at Philly or Houston show. I saw it at Seattle show via periscope yesterday too. Can't say this with 100% confidence, but the general rumor amongst those "in the know" is that t

Quotebv QuoteHouseBoyKnows So I like Ronnie’s new pink guitar. I think that was during Brown Sugar? First time I’ve seen it anyway. My 4th show of the tour. But the real question is how does bv get from the pit to the front of the b-stage and back? Is he in the so-called “golden pit”? HBK If you have a pit wristband then you can leave the pit at any time, out and back. One time I left

Almost all philly mom & pop pizza and hoagie (subs) shops have good cheesesteaks because they’ve all learned the routine including the right ingredients. Rolls are key. My recollection is that Ronnie was an "unofficial" Stone for the US 1975 tour. That Fall he toured with the Faces one last time. So when was he "officially" named as a Stone? Early '76 before the Euro tour? When he appeared on the cover of B&B that Spring? Of course there was always the matter of when they actually started paying him as a full member of the band

I love New Orleans and have visited many times over the years. I was especially disturbed when Katrina hit one month after I had just had an excellent visit. So much amazing culture and cuisine. It must be no fun to be stuck in a hotel room in this great city, like Bjornulf is, hoping for things to clear by Sunday. At some point the touring entourage will need to make a decision on coming to
