I had one problem with the Super Bowl halftime show: not enough Ronnie in the mix. What I did hear sounded great. I loved the show and will be on a high all week. Stones rule!

I saw (was not able to get to download in time) some files for Handsome Girls recently...I can only imagine that these are "Some Girls" outtakes. What's the quality of these? If you could repost them it would be greatly appreciated.

Keith Richards recently (in the past few years) said something to the effect of: "I don't care whether or not you like the album. Voodoo Lounge is where we're at now. If it takes you 10 years to understand it, good, but it's where we're at now." Or something like that. I had not listened to VL for a long time, and then after the press conference this May I pulled

I just bought Goat's Head Soup last week...I enjoy it. The first time I ever heard the opening of Winter was on the "licks around the world" documentary, and it has stuck in my head since. Same thing with "She smiled sweetly", during the Germany part on the same documentary. I love having songs float around in my head for a while before I have them in my collection. When

How does "Beat Beat Beat at the Beeb" rank as far as rarity? I have it but have never heard others talk about it. Most of it is low-mid quality sound, but about 10 tracks are really excellent.

I don't agree with the opinion that ABB is in the same category as Emotional Rescue and Dirty Work. I don't even think Emotional Rescue should be considered with Dirty Work. Emotional Rescue and ABB are albums that I can listen to straight through and not find a song that I don't like. Emotional Rescue has a lot of songs that I really like, just like ABB. ABB is no Exile, Some Girl

I think the Stones are trying to make some kind of message with the cover of A Bigger Bang, that being that they and their music are more powerful than terrorism, war, etc. If you look at the album cover, the "diabolical" Stones are above the light image, which actually looks like an upside down peace symbol. If you turn the album upside down, the "friendlier" picture of the

This is another example of the "ancient form of weaving" from Keith and Ron. Quite different from what we see of them on the official releases like Four Flicks. Thanks for these files!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has posted all of the mp3s and other files that I have picked up recently: Brown Sugar w/ Clapton, Start Me Up reggae, Ruby Tuesday/Paint It Black 1967, Hurricane (how cool...), Jah is not Dead, Waiting on a Friend, ...everything. Thanks so much to everyone, i've really enjoyed it, and it has given my copy of Bigger Bang a rest (momentarily).

I thought about Lennon on Wednesday after reading some articles about the anniversary. All day Thursday it had slipped my mind. I went on a walk with a girl, and afterwards I went to a party and everyone was talking about John. In hindsight, I think John was looking over me for a minute when I was with that girl.
