The Stones have always beat out the competition of any given era, but this year has been great because the Stones are better than they have been in years, on disc and live.

The ad that I saw in the papers had the same car, unsigned, in that position, with Mick and Keith "posing" behind the car and Charlie and Ron in front. Charlie looked smug, but he rocks, so its okay.

I saw the full page ads in those newspapers yesterday in print. I imagine that the ads would be different online, if they exist.

The Rolling Stones are seen in a new Mercedes-Benz ad that runs today in American papers "USA Today" and "New York Times". It's the first time I've seen a Stones photograph, ad, etc, with Charlie in the foreground.

For $50, 1 hour before Maroon 5 went on, I got a ticket in section 119...and had access to the entire lower deck walkway, so I could walk around and see the show from many angles....It looked 90% sold out too.

What are some of the prices that people are paying on the street for tickets before shows? Various threads have spoken to this...I'm going to Detroit tomorrow and am curious about prices. I don't want to pay over $50 for a ticket, and I will probably be sitting near the back...Thanks for any input! Robert

Here is a link to an article from the New York Times on the new Neil Young material and recent shows: I have a great Neil boot from a live aid show a few years back. Great versions of "Down by the River", "Hurricane", "Old Man", and others. Worth looking up.

Sure, maybe the worst pianist that the Stones have had, but as previously said, Ian Stewart isn't available. I can't think of anyone else that could play with the Stones, probably some "unknown" musician that they would find through tryouts. I had never heard of Darryl Jones before, but he works out great. But for now, I don't see the Stones replacing Chuck.

When I first heard the Rolling Stones it was around when Steel Wheels came out. I had a tape of the Atlantic City show, Flashpoint, and listened to them religiously. I can't believe how great I thought the Stones were. Then Voodoo Lounge came out, I was able to see them in Cleveland, and I was a bit disappointed. Looking back, I now think that the Voodoo Lounge cd and show were musically muc

The Rolling Stones are in a position where they can do as they please with their personal health, habits, etc.(legally, financially, socially). Let's all hope for the best for this album and tour.

His work with the Stones doesn't compare to what he did with the Allman Brothers, but I think he's probably one of the best pianists that fits the bill.

Bob Dylan has written some great music over the years...just like the Stones or other groups, it's interesting to see them in concert at least once. I've seen Dylan a few times over the past decade and have always been impressed. Especially with the shows from last summer in Spain (Barcelona, Motril, and Alcala). Also from Toledo, OH last fall. For $50, if you haven't seen him befo
