Are we talking live or studio IORR? if its both studio the by a tiny amount I would have to say MR. I hate this thread. (hahaha) Its like choosing which child or parent you want to live. To quote Ron Burgandy..."This is hard. I am in a pickle."

Both songs are live monsters while the studio versions of both are not as good... still the studio version of "Midnight rambler" wins. And of course the live versions wins anyway. There ain't too many "Midnight rambler" in this world and I'm listening to the YA-YA'S version right now. What can I say? A monument.

IORR from IORR. Both contenders are the studio versions

It's Only Rock & Roll. (But the Ya-Yas version of'Rambler' beats IORR any day.)

I'm going to reverse blatantly my rationale for prior match-ups and vote for "IORR" _because_ it's such a strong studio track. I'm just fascinated by this recording... who do you think is playing the acoustic intro - mick j?

It's a fun song live but never quite as groovy and intriguing. It doesn't help that, I think, mick always starts with the second verse.
