QuoteMonkeyMan2000 Here's our latest single "Brother and Sister". We released the corresponding music video today: Hope you guys like it! I know many people on here don't really like 80's Disco, so I guess the kind of music we played when we started might be preferable to some : Cheers to all! Well done! Both got a nice vintage vibe

QuoteVoodooLounge13 QuoteRnT Quotebitusa2012 Love a good cover. But there are just TOO many on this set given Petty’s own self penned greatness. Crazy Mama though, I can’t wait to hear this. It's JJ Cale's Crazy Mama. But Satisfaction is on there as well. This is not the same as the Stones' song? No,but still a nice tune. And as Slewan stated there's a lot Stones rela

I remember Keith lighting up a huge joint and blowing out a big cloud of smoke (in front of the no smoking sign) while playing the intro of IORR. Classic. Forever grateful to my friend Cees for getting us tickets. RnT

Quotedmay Nice clip. Y'all think Jack is...high? Willie Deville was so good. A number of live shows by him are on Dime. He also performed under the name Mink Deville. Here's my fave song by him: The song he sings to Jack, Carmelita, was written by Warren Zevon. A fave version of it for me is this one by Dwight Yoakam on Flaco Jimenez's first solo album. Flaco was also a memb

Quotetreaclefingers Quote QuoteDGA35 QuoteRockman DDD recording .... ..... Always found it a bit strange how a CD that is DDD originally can be re released as digitally remastered. It means they redid or reworked the mastering, the last D-step of the proces. The first D though is probably why many people experience Steel Wheels as sounding sterile. It's not recorded analogue on tape

Analogue tape recording vs still relative early digital recording might have made a difference

The way people enjoy music has changed so much, not just for the Stones but for all artists. I don't think many folks still have the attention span to listen to an entire album. Tickets for Bruce Springsteen in Europa sold extremely fast, but few people seem to even know about his last album Letter To You.

I can imagine that all the sessions have yielded some good songs, but that the recordings have been fragmented (different sessions, studio's, Charlie probably drumming on clicktrack on some songs). They might try to re-record them to achieve a more coherent live feel. Ofcourse this is speculation on my side, but obviously they're not totally convinced with what they got so far.

Wonderful record. The fantastic playing aside, Rory was also a great singer. I really love his voice.

Maybe it's been posted already, but in Dutch paper De Volkskrant from april 2nd Keith said: A new Stones album will be released. Only thing is we've not decided yet what to do with the songs we've recorded with Charlie. We could make an album out of those songs, but recording a complete new album with Steve is also an option. First thing to do is to go out and play (live).

Quotemidimannz It’s a great effort I feel. It would be technically really tough to perform under that pressure They do a better job today than the current guitars (oops) to recreate the sounds I fully agree. Great sound, very well done.

The Springsteen tour seems to be postponed until 2023, so that woud leave plenty of time to play with Nils Lofgren. I really hope that will happen. To me Barn is a great record that I keep going back to. Love the movie too.

QuotePaintMonkeyManBlack Don't think so. In the Netherlands you won't need it for sure (at this moment) But you do need a negative test for the occasion at the moment, for example to get into a concert in Paradiso.
