Well, to be honest, I actually like Heathen Chemistry, their last album. The single Hindu Times has a massive wall of sound, the drums buried in the guitars. The sound reminded me of Stones singles like Get off of my cloud, 19th Nervous Breakdown & Have you seen your mother. To me it sounded exciting. And the Gallaghers are always good for a laugh, aren't they?

You're absolutely right. It's a real joy to listen to Bill on HG. It's also got to do with his sound. A bit dry and often in the middle range (not just the lows), which makes it easy to follow him. I specially like Love in Vain, the high notes he plays as an 'introduction' to the slideguitar. Just lovely. The Stones (and us fans) have been blessed with his unique style of

I've been to all kind of venues on many tours, in front and in the back. In my opinion the soundsystems on VL and BTB were much better than on the Licks tour. I don't know why. Also, in the small venues (arenas, clubs), the sound in 2002/2003 was very (too) loud. On the smaller stage they seemed to use the same backline as in the stadiums. Yes, watched a documentary on Voodoo lounge yesterday. Keith stated that he did 6 weeks of preparations with just Mick & Charlie, before going to Ireland where the others joined in for the actual recording.
