Personally, I'd have preferred it if they released it as a Japan-only strictly limited box set in a hand-carved mahogany box inlaid with ivory.

Spend your waking hours posting excretory lists on fan forums. Top tip: when asked for your Top 3 Songs for example, as a superfan, you should disregard the question and proceed to list your Top 100 along with lengthy supporting paragraphs justifying your choices.

QuoteDoxa QuoteElmo Lewis The Hampton release has made it kinda unnecessary ..... We sure enjoyed reliving the concert in the summer of 82 though. Faves are UMT, 20 Flight, and TIOMS. Yeah, kinda... but the thrilling opening of STILL LIFE - you know, a little snippet of Ellington tune, then a sudden burst of audience noise, the introduction and the majestic opening riff of "Under My

No one wants random weirdos turning up at your house with expectations of casual chat about your career. It's all very Mark Chapman.

Has Mick ever been asked if there is any footage from the 73 tour they would consider releasing? Apart from SFM, I've never seen any other pro-shot film from 1973. Is the BBC film of the London show corroborated anywhere or just rumour?

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteFather Ted If what they put on ER was the best they could do, the unreleased stuff must be f*cking awful. Bloody awful stuff like Heaven, Neighbours, Hang Fire, Little T+A, No Use In Crying, We Had It All, Tallahassee Lassie etc... QuoteDoxa QuoteFather Ted If they ever tour again, they should replace IORR with StarFacker I don't know what it is but I think they always play better Chuck Berry originals than their own pastishes of those. Especially with "Little Queenie" they just can do no wrong. But they have very rarely played those any longer, not even when Chuck died. Like listening to BLUE & LONE

Quotedcba QuoteCousinC I really wonder what happened to them. I'd bet my left gonad they're safely stored in the Vault (and probably already transfered to digital) but Mick's keen on giving us as little old material as he can. Hence the re-appearance of Brussels... (which is kinda logical as no other 73 gig can compare to this one so all in all this reissue is a solid packag

QuoteHairball After about six or seven listens now, my ranking of this tune has quickly dropped from an initial positive impression of 7 out of 10 down to a mediocre/average 5 at best. Not even sure if I'd spend money on a standalone single at this point considering it's on the 2 cd and 2 lp set, but might just for collection purposes. Sounds too cobbled together imo, and it's ea

Quotegeorgie48 Quotejbwelda PS: I agree the Roundhouse tracks are killer. I wish the whole performance was there too. That it is not may be a clue as to its availability. I also think the original Leeds show was great too, and I basically bought the SD Sticky Fingers for it. I have A-B-ed it with my bootleg cd version in "improved sound" and it is heads above it in clarity of sound

QuoteNilsHolgersson QuoteDoxa Quotedcba QuoteNastyHabits The video is okay I guess. Reminded me of a couple of girls I met when I was young. They're usually in their third abortion by age 20. Mick (who called the shots on this one) would take it as a compliment as 20 yo girls (with or without abortions) are his target (from a marketing pov). We the menopausal/andropausol IORR crowd are

A few more From The Vaults releases, maybe even that neverending album will get released. But I doubt we'll see any touring from bands in this age group. What with the virus barely under control in some countries and kicking off again in others, any tour (and having to cancel it again) has almost 0% chance of happening.

QuoteBraincapers I wish people would stop invoking 1984. In the book the past is rewritten and every believes, or at least pretends, the past always happened that way. That's not what's happening now. Tearing down statues of racists is, if anything, being more aware of the past. Gone With The Wind isn't banned or unavailable it's just not on streaming platforms.
