Some great, energetic performances here. Probably should reserve this for the complaints thread, but what the Hell: WHAT IN GOD'S NAME is Keith wearing nowadays?- he looks like he's shown a Cheerleader 'the blade' & stolen her outfit!

QuoteMRAmandaJones I think the question is not the quality of the performance or even the song choices, but : why do they rehearse rare songs since they finaly playd more or less the same "best of" for years ? I specify that's not a critic, but a fact. Personally I think the reality is: They rehearse the warhorses too & even those are prone to becoming 'derailed' a

Quotefahthree QuoteStrawberriesBlueberries Quotefahthree The setlist itself looked so much better during the Michael Cohl years -- this looks like something a high school kid did on Microsoft Word. LOL, finally there's something new to complain about: The layout of their setlists is boring. Haven't the setlist complaints all been worn out? Next we should start bitching about the

QuoteAquamarine QuoteMrsHop "See ya there"- his speech seems slurred to me. In a nutshell: he sounds very like someone who's had a small stroke to me. He's always talked like that, though, increasingly as the years go by. I think this is reading too much into it, to be honest--I'm not a nurse, but my father had multiple strokes, large and small, so I do have some know

I Still think, there was some sort of crisis for him around 2007 (lots of not very pleasent stuff happend in his life around this year, from what I read). I think you're right. I saw the band in Copenhagen in 2007 & while there, pre-show, the papers were running a story on how Keith had been so out of it at the previous show (was it Helsinki?), that Mick had had to physically

QuoteStrawberriesBlueberries QuoteMrsHop QuoteStrawberriesBlueberries I sense a strong will by Keith here to play the right notes and a coherent melody on his two Sympathy soli from Tokyo. It's difficult to approach certain topics without upsetting anyone, but I have such mixed feelings about the Stones nowadays. I think the person who commented about the nostalgia aspect & the fact that we MUST be close to the 'final curtain' is pretty much right. I DID feel moved while watching 'Slipping Away', but it wasn't really anything to do with artistic ex

QuoteGJV Thanks! I'm afraid it was me who bought that one (with a little help of my girlfriend, who has an ebay- and PayPal-account, I don't). I'm very happy and excited to receive this great item! Does your girlfriend have any nice sisters? ;-). I enquired about this beautiful set, but my girlfriend threatened to beat me over the head with something heavy if I spent so much.

Quotestoneslive Any uploaders of this one, please? Thanks in advance. Unfortunately, I don't think posting stuff from Wolfgang's Vault is allowed (?). It's a shame really, as the bootleg labels are pressing them & laughing all the way to the bank. QuoteErik_Snow But, what MrsHop did not mention is that both the no-label and the DAC are taken from a torrent kindly shared by TornAndFrayed which is a member here on IORR; which was a vinyl-rip of the Hold On Tight 3LP. DAC didn't "copy" the no-label.....maybe just a detail, but... Hi Erik- I stand corrected & my apologies to TornAndFrayed. Unfortunately I'm still a

Hey Guys. I think it's worth mentioning that the version of 'Hold On Tight' released by DAC was copied from a no-label 2cd, called 'The Original Hold On Tight'. Not only did DAC unnecessarily spread it over 3 discs, but the no-label also sounds MUCH better (if you can find it). Just my 2 cents :-) Also (I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong): The VGP

At worst I think they'll perform as well- hopefully better than in 2007 & not ALL of those shows were a disaster. They were inconsistent, with Keith getting most of the blame (rightly so), but even Charlie sounded kind of 'sluggish' towards the end of that tour imo. One thing's for sure- they seem to have rehearsed these shows BIG TIME. Also, Ronnie's made quite a few

Hi Erik- I used to have a fair few vinyl boots, but they were mostly a kind of 'hotch-potch' of BBC sessions & early stuff that sounded pretty bad. Then I had one of those 'times are hard' moments & sold them, but they certainly didn't sound good from what I remember. I always found it hard to find any boots here in the UK, even before the big clamp-down of the mi
