The rational for keeping weed stores open is more complex that a) wanting to keep people sedated or b) the health value of the product. The larger rationale is that users who are denied access to a product that was very recently an illegal substance may go back to using black market or "illegal" channels to acquire the product and resultantly put people at greater risk of infection wit

I take your point on the value of music--it's a life saver. However, folks can still access music without venturing into a physical store/ space. I would wager that most do, given the relative absence of stores that sell recorded music. It's a hard call but one that needs to be made. Full disclosure: I work in the area of design thinking and innovation and would typically conduct w

I know It's Only Rock n'Roll But I Like it Could be written on my gravestone in Sharpie and I'd be a happy stiff. But the truth is we don't have to choose. We can like 'em both. I'll take one GHS and one IORR over just one of either of em. Like Yogi said, when ya come to a fork in the road: take it.

Went for a burger at The Museum Tavern in Toronto and the poster from the El Mo shows was there on display. (great burger, too) The three siblings who own the Tavern are the children of the folks who owned the El Mo when the Stones played so they put this on prominent display.

If I remember correctly, Petty once said of the Stones that they were the band that convinced him that he could be a musician. Elvis was Elvis and The Beatles were Beatles and there wasn't no way he was going to be them, but the Stones played with a kind of ease and relaxation that he thought, yeah man, I could do this. In my own efforts to play and write music I can't count how many

QuoteMileHigh Well for point a) organizations like Mothers Against Drunk Driving would take issue with you. MADD has issues with DRIVING drunk, not drinking. Don't confuse the two. They have issues with the illegal use of motor vehicles, not with alcohol consumption. Again the answer is simple: take the licenses away for good of folks who drive drunk. Other countries have figured this ou

There used to be an amendment enshrined in the constitution that banned the sale of alcohol. The country somehow got it's shit together long enough to fix that ridiculous mistake. Quotelatebloomer Lem, "public" schools are really *private* schools in the UK. The English use the reverse terminology from the Americans from what I understand. Makes absolutely no sense either. How can a "public" school be private? The name dates back to the time when schools founded for local children went 'public' and admitted children from further afie
