I see all the issues some of you are facing. Sorry to hear it. For what it's worth, I've bought a number of items over the past few months. No complaints (other than Ronnie signing only his last name on the litho)- fast shipping, fair enough pricing, no gouging on shipping to Canada. It's all good. Credit where credit is due. Bryan

It's a good one. Slide On Live's good too (earlier note) but different (it's live with Fowler taking lead cox on the Faces stuff). I seem to recall that Dylan's Seven Days is on it as well which is great - really great. There's also a very disappointing 'hits's album. Conexion. Has anyone managed to build their own best of Ronnie ? Would be interested to hear w

Guess they needed the space more than Ronnie needed the money. Always liked and mostly respected him and for my money Lucky Man may just be his finest singing yet. What the hell ... 50 bucks ... Merry happy all !

This is a weird one. I generally don't spend long with stuff I don't like, why would anyone ? Some times people / bosses can be unbearable but the choice remains, I suppose. That said, the Partridge Family could be considered my guilty (occasional)pleasure. My opinion: well crafted 'pop' ditties, well played (Wrecking Crew often). So, them and the Bob's - Dylan and ...

Quotebryanoakville Bob, Monday night ... Bob, Tuesday night ... Then sleep, then Eric Burden, Thursday night. Never seen Burden before. REALLY looking forward to Bob. 24 &25 Some call me crazy. So, Burden was way better than I expected. The band was good and really stretched out on a number of songs , the voice is still there. Very worthwhile. Bob was terrific on Monday and still better on

A really well done show. Generally I don't like much on T.V. But this is almost as good as Sorkin's stuff. Lewis was terrific in Band of Brothers too. Pantinkin rocks and the blond girl is. Bing watching on Netfix but 3rd seasons not on yet. I like this stuff better when I don't have to wait a week between episodes (and watch stupid commercials). No spoilers please.

Thanks Swiss, very much. Terrific stuff. Intrigued to watch them recreate the Spector production values. Really got into the guitar interplay towards the end. Talent abounds with this "and friends" lineup ... Especially their leader.

QuoteSweetThing Well, in my opinion of course, I just don't see any of those songs on Exile being Top 40 friendly which would've constituted a hit at the time. How far did Tumbling Dice get? I think they chose the right one... As for Chuck Berry... there's a big difference between My Ding A Ling and RTJ... FWIW - Tumbling Dice is the greatest Rock and Roll song, period ..

Seem to recall some T.V. Special years ago were they (all three) revisited the disco stuff in a sort of unplugged/acoustic format. The beats had been changed to a more 4/4 rock and roll. It was very good. Does anybody else remember this - did it get released ? I'd buy it.

QuoteGreen Lady Well, it sounds as if he has enough money to do what he wants to do with his life, and how much more do you need? Right on Green Lady. Money's only good if you don't die tomorrow. We should all be so fortunate to live our lives on our own terms.

Saw that show in Toronto with the Band and Jessie Colin Young. Sure, you could probably rip it somewhere for free, but it'll be worth your money. They still have kids to send to school !

Well, thank you everybody. Great country. Not without some issues but ... . The beer's still cold (but, only if'n yer drinking it quickly). Fireworks next. On to music. Would strongly recommend checking out bands beyond Rush, April Wine and others mentioned above (though they're terrific). If you can find either (or both) of Edward Bear's first two albums - Bearings and Ecli

They shouldn't. I see a whole lot of shows every year. Always have. Since '71 they've rocked harder than almost every other. Guns came close for a while there (actually, Alex's band is excellent too), but I cannot think of any other who does it better. They're more fun too. Others are often quite good; they are simply in a different league. That's my opinion.

Pretty good - wherezit from - who's on piano. Still think Time Waits For No One is his finest. Anybody's really -- 'cept maybe Duane Allman doing Statesborough Blues (Ludlow Garage '70) or on Boz Scaggs' Loan Me A Dime. Sorry to go off topic. Think it's time to compile a Taylor-made Anthology. Starting here, now.

Ab's got the list I agree with most. Allman's have been at times so far above the rest it ceases to be funny. At other times though they've been pretty crappy. BTW, some great stuff came out of those times with Chuck. Too bad they're hanging it up... Two of the finest guitarists around ... Now, that's 'weaving'.
