Taylor already has a Stones cover band. People see him live just to hear Sway, Winter, No Expectations, Little Red Rooster (yes, I'm aware this one is not a Stones original tune), etc.

Quotefranzk QuoteRepetitiveness generally isn’t all that grave a crime in pop music. For example, literally every song the Red Hot Chili Peppers have ever recorded is just Anthony Kiedis saying “Llama gamma busy hella fizzy California” over the opening credits music from The Cosby Show, and they’ve been doing it for over 30 years and nobody cares. This is because the Red Hot Chili Peppers are jus

QuoteHMS Compared to the pile of shit that other major artists have released in the 80ies, Dirty Work shines brightly! For me their best post-Black & Blue-release and in no way crap. Reading some postings here makes me wonder if we actually talking about the same album... Steaming pile of $hit is a steaming pile of $hit, it doesn't matter what decade it was released in. Granted, I a

QuoteIrelandCalling4 I always thought DW was much better than given credit for; it's rotten reputation seemingly stems from 3 tracks in particular - 'Winning Ugly', 'Back to Zero', 'Hold Back'. Perhaps 'Fight' could be added also; many seem to severely dislike that one too. The remaining tracks, many discussed on Rene's Track Talk, have receive

QuoteOlly Quotematxil The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams isn't bad either. Perhaps an 'OT' thread on humorous literature is required, for the benefit of LeonidP. Your posts are enough, still laughing from before!

Great tune! "I'm tired, tired of doing what I'm told" ... haven't played it in a while, I'll have to give it a whirl today.

Quotekeefriffhards QuoteLeonidP QuoteOlly It may be fortuitous, but for me his departure coincided with the beginning of the band's finest decade as a live act. funniest thing i ever read! I agree with Olly . Its not funny, its fact. These were huge tours undertaken in the 90's. Record breaking back breaking tours. Soo many tour dates its just incredible the stamina they showed, and t

QuoteKRiffhard QuoteLeonidP QuoteKRiffhard Quotehot stuff I just received a email from the Keith Richards Webstore to buy his new cd. I preordered 2!! Only $13.00 for the cd. PLAY IT LOUD... QuoteTravelinMan If you've been in a meaningful relationship with someone on and off, you get it. I love the lyrics. Same here, I think it's great overall, lyrics, music, everything. As for being 'corny' ... you can't really write a love song that isn't corny.

QuoteSilver Dagger Filler is anything which to your own ears is below standard songwriting. Not really. Filler is generally a tune which would be considered a hurry-up piece, created with the purpose of 'filling' up the space needed to release a complete album. For example, to me, the last several minutes of Going Home, on Aftermath, was included just to add space to the album -- I

QuoteRollingFreak QuoteLeonidP QuoteRollingFreak Completely disagree. There's nothing to assume another album would be good, and at 70+ years old I don't know why anyone would expect from them. Even if it sucked, you wouldn't have to listen ... although I am sure there would at least be 5 or 6 great tracks. I completely disagree, as I don't think there are 5 or 6 great track

QuoteMrEcho ...I bought the album on the day it was released and I have loved it ever since. I never understood the hate it attracts. Not too hard to understand, it's a pretty bad album. "Hate" is a strong word, but it is easily their worst, not even close.

QuoteJJHMick Either: As it's almost a Keith solo combine it with She's The Boss of the same period of time Or: Take the "wrong" track listing (same with Let It Bleed!) on the album sleeve and you will have a "fresh new" way of listening to it. I think I might agree if I could figure out what you were saying...

QuoteKRiffhard QuoteTeddyB1018 He brought this one to the Stones too. I think that You Got it made is better than OMS and Trouble but Keef doesn't consider it! It's an old demo that he's probably forgot about ... when the voodoo box set comes out with vault recordings, it will be included then.

QuoteLiveAtHidepark QuoteLeonidP I detest Dirty Work and am so-so on Steel Wheels -- we almost had the band break up, it led to the first ever solo albums of Mick & Keith (which wasn't bad, but still, it wasn't my classic Stones). posting policy : If you don't have any positive to say, then don't say it Then there should be a ban on Dirty Work threads.

I got his Bone Machine album because Keith sings on That Feel ... it's such a great song, but it got me to listen to the rest of the album, which is incredible! I got a couple other Waits albums because of this, including Rain Dogs, but still, Bone Machine remains my favorite.
