Buenos Aires, second "rain" show of the Bigger Bang tour in 2006, when the moving part of the "B" stage got stuck on a wet t-shirt about halfway out to the entire B stage... The band just kind vamped on Miss You for a few extra minutes as the crew scrambled to figure out what was wrong. Gotta say, they handled it like the pros they are.

I wouldn't be surprised if Mick Joined in on a performance or 2, kind of like he did with U2 last fall in New York.

Keith is right. I have to say that the 2006 show that I caught in Argentina was absolutely unmatched with regards to it's crazy, energetic, enthusiastic crowd. I've never seen anything like it, and probably never will again unless the Stones play there again (in which case I'll be there).

OK, totally never going to happen, but imagine -- with the re-release of Exile -- a string of say 10 shows at the O2 in London with a MJ, KR, CW, MT, RW & BW lineup, followed up with 10 or so shows at MSG in NY. Wyman could take a cruise ship across the Atlantic as he hates to fly. Setlist would be only songs from Exile, with 3-4 warhorses for a short set of encores. Stripped down stage... no

Wow. I almost wish I hadn't played it because I really want to hear the whole track NOW. Almost. Do we know for sure if this is one of the tracks with the MT overdubs?

Well maybe Keith could borrow it on the next tour if he isn't up to playing his guitar the whole show... Here's the number I am thinking of... &hl (Scroll to about 3 minutes for those of you not familiar with this video)

Gotta add Toots & The Maytals "Funky Kingston", Tosh's "Bush Doctor" and "Babylon By Bus" from BM&W's to the list.

THANK YOU for posting this. I always suspected as much with regards to the version in Gimmee Shelter. You know, even without Cutler and the DJ at the end, I thought that it "sounded" like the other Altamont recordings I've heard... Cold, heavy December air...

How about Happy with Mick onstage a la 1972?

I'd love to hear a reversion to the 1976 (think LYL or Ya-Ya's) and earlier way of playing Sympathy with the actual guitar chords starting the song, and not the drums / piano intro of late. I think that would be a great opener. Rip this Joint would be a great opener.

Phish has posted a list on their website of albums that they would potentially cover -- song for song in their entirety -- for their upcoming Halloween show in Indio, California. As time progresses, a number of the original 100 albums have be "cut" with a bloody knife. Just 28 albums remain for the Halloween set, and Exile and Sticky Fingers both remain on the list. I would agree that it has always been one of the weaker warhorses, although in the pre-coconut tree 2006 phase of ABB, it was pretty damn rockin'... Kind of feel like they found a way to make it work for just a little stretch.

+1 for picking these up. There are 2 discs out. I got them both when we visit Buenos Aires for the Stones shows in '06. Great music for your next swank cocktail or dinner party.

There is a very cool CD release from the Grateful Dead on "Dicks Picks 30" from March of 1972 where Bo sat in with Jerry and the boys for Hey Bo Diddley, I'm a Man, I've Seen Them All, Jam & Mona. Even if you're not a fan of the Dead, it's still very cool stuff.

Looks like Mick didn't stray too far from the all-too-standard "warhorses" at the end of his solo sets.

I second Shott on this one... this is a must see (as well as the Last Waltz). There is some amazing footage... The Flying Burrito Brothers also get some coverage in FE. We had a pretty good view of the whole B-Stage fiasco. When it stopped, it seemed like the stage crew were in a panic trying to get the whole thing going again... there were folks coming down the tracks on foot examining the whole thing. At one point, if I remember correctly, it looked like they were trying to manually push the stage to get it dislodged and out to the middle of the stadium. Hav

Yes, I arranged a vacation to Argentina for my wife and I that 'just happened' to coincide with the 2nd River Plate show (the one in the pouring rain). Being from the US, I have never seen such an enthusiastic, passionate crowd, and the band really fed off the energy well and treated BA to a fantastic show... At several points in the show I think the collective audience / stones experi
