Quotestonesseventytwo I totally agree with rssr. This "re-release" is some kind of anachronistic BS. Even Keith was opposed to "painting a new smile on the Mona Lisa" as he put it. The people who like this obvioulsy are too young to have lived through the original Exile. What kind of elitist bullshit is this? It's possible to like the "new" songs and the old s

Quotemelillo Quote71Tele Quotecolonial Thats the sort of thing I like to hear. Not me. More decline and degradation musically. More high ticket prices. More warhorses. More Ron Wood. Count me out if this is the plan. dude can u please give ron wood a break, he has been there for 35 years now i think it is safe to say he has the gig He didn't deny that he has the gig. Quotemsw2525 kiss is just terrible and considering them or the rock n roll HOF as anything besides a joke is in bad judgment. I guess the HOF had some dignity at some point until they started letting anyone in who ever played a instrument. And how can anybody really take kiss seriously? Because some people have actually heard enough of their music to be able to take them seriously.

Quoterollinon I found the interview w/ Jimmy was honest, relaxed, and entertaining. Keith's sense of humor remains great. I do think he regrets not being able to strum the guitar like years ago. Let It Bleed has "the cake" on the cover ~ but I don't fault a professional musician for not remembering his album covers. Mick, on the other hand, typically forgot which albums

They just had to grow as songwriters. Early on, I find their strongest material to be their singles. They weren't making good albums yet, they were releasing strong singles. But that's how it was for a lot of bands back then because the concept of the album was still pretty new and the emphasis was still on singles. I would argue that "Aftermath" is their first ALBUM-album. Af

Quotebernardanderson a cover is an artists own interpretation of a previously written song. so it doesn't swing? who gives a @#$%&. it would be a very boring performance if it was EXACTLY the same as the original. The Rolling Stones' various covers of blues and motown classics don't exactly have the soul and feel of the original versions. why not complain about those? close your ey

Quotejjflash73 Kiss sucks and Gene Simmons is an idiot. I would rather kill myself than see 2 hours of him sticking his tongue out. Take away the theatrics and you don't have much left. I can ONLY name one song and I am 49 years old and grew up outside NYC in Jersey. So only being able to name one song means they suck? Sounds like you haven't heard enough to say they suck, like most

Quoteskipstone Perhaps that is the Keith somebody (of course I doubt it) that Fallon alluded to. Keith Richards is a planetary household name. Keith Urban is not. That settles that. I don't know you how deduct that considering Fallon said "And the other guest's name rhymes with Keith Richards."

QuoteGazza He didnt actually say that. Its different acts appearing each night all week playing Stones songs. The original report erroneously stated that the STONES would be performing each night before it was later corrected. If its 'Mick & Keith', it'll probably be Jimmy impersonating them! He said there were going to be some special guests. Then he imitated Mick

Does anyone have the audio from when Ron was on the Howard Stern show? I believe it was from around the time Slide On This was being released. I haven't heard it in forever but I remember it being hilarious and all this recent Ron talk made me remember it. I'm trying to track it down but I've had no luck so far.

Quotebv And when was the last new Beatles album released? Something like 1969? I think we are all spoiled and very lucky to be fans of a band that keep touring and keep making new recordings. I can wait another year for the album and tour because I am still absorbing everything that happened on the previous tour. So I guess if they had decided to go on tour this year, you wouldn't be in at

If the Stones had only released one album and then broke up, which album would you pick to best define what the Stones were all about? It doesn't even necessarily have to be your favorite album - but which one do you think is the most definitive. And then using the year that particular album was released, what impact do you think it would have made on the overall rock/pop music scene? My

Anyone who lists a Beatles, Zeppelin, Who, etc.. song as the 'worst song ever' is seriously demented. You may not LIKE them, but I know for me, even if I was sick to death of Stairway to Heaven...you lock me a in a room with the Jonas Brothers and I'm going to be wishing I had stairway to heaven instead.

Those suspended chords definitely give it a Keith sound. Also has the right amount of overdrive to give it a nice sound. I don't care for the song though.

Quoterebelrebel Quotedeuce I love how people feel the need to defend themselves if they like something other than the Stones or Stones type of music. You're right of course but I've been around here long enough to see the lynch mob in action. OK, I'll say it without qualification: I like Kylie!

Quoteslew I don't know I am mixed on it. Mick does not seem passionless to me. Keith and Ronnie are declining sadly and Charlie looks un-natural back there playing to a click track. I am happy to have them around but they need to re-think what they are doing or retire and its painful to say that believe me. But why even be happy they are still around if they aren't delivering the g

I don't get it. 3 tracks? Of course I'll take and appreciate anything I can get, but there is so much more they could be putting out. So what if somethings not finished? Finished, unreleased Exile tracks are cool as hell...but what about rehearsals, outtakes, etc? Does Mick honestly believe the die hard fans (and lets face it, thats who is going to be buying this) dont want to hear that
