Looks like Trouble No More will also perform the Album at Peach fest this summer. Hopefully, Chuck will not be able to participate in this performance because he is neck deep in a Stones summer tour.

Didn't Springsteen just get roasted for something like this? Tickets for Taylor Swift’s Houston concert are already selling for $33,000 A new car? A luxury vacation for the family? Or a ticket to Taylor Swift's Eras Tour? Those are the decisions you'll have to make if you take up some of the resale offers currently available for Swift's upcoming Houston show. Stu

Some great stories here about concerts as most of us remember them, and some great ticket prices we loved. Fifty years ago, Akron rocked. Belkin Productions of Cleveland scheduled a major series of concerts at the Rubber Bowl in 1972. It was the greatest summer in Akron rock history — unless you happened to be an Akron cop working security or a neighbor trying to sleep. The concerts

Of course he's entitled to his opinion, but his glass always seems to be half empty. I'm not sure what he was expecting since Mick said in an interview before the tour that there would not be a nostalgic look back like there was for the 50th anniversary. I'm in the group that is glad they are still out there plugging away. I'm not that wrapped up in what kind of stage the

Did Keith use a slide during Happy on this tour? I can't make one out in the video but his left hand motions around 2:20 look like he could be using one. In the audio it sounds like Taylor is using a slide during the outro. I think I recall seeing pictures of Keith with a slide during Happy on the 75 tour.

Filmmaker Nick Cassavetes and Sunset Blvd Films are developing a movie about iconic 70s rock group The Allman Brothers Band. Cassavetes, known for box office successes John Q, The Notebook and The Other Woman, will write and direct the film based on Scott Freeman’s book. The Untitled Allman Brothers biopic will revisit the tale of Gregg and Duane Allman, two brothers raised by a single mo

The guy on the left is opening act Jimmie Vaughan, longtime member of the band 'Fabulous Thunderbirds' and brother of Stevie Ray Vaughan. The one in the middle is conservative Republican Texas governor Greg Abbott, who has vigorously fought any city, county or school district that has tried to declare a mask mandate. I'm sure he's very supportive of Eric's opinions on

Keith with the leg kick around 3:56. He loved playing Chuck songs. I don't see a capo at this time but clearly there's one during his solo around the 4:40 mark. Could he have slipped one on the neck at some point? The video and the audio seem to match up, unlike the Ladies & Gentlemen movie.

They seem to be aware of the similarities. From Rolling Stone: In an era of overblown pop-metal bands, the Black Crowes stood out for their rootsy, Southern take on the Faces. Even if the group’s knowledge of Rod Stewart up to that point was limited to New Wave fare like “Young Turks.” “I wasn’t really feeling that. But sat down in my apartment and played me ‘Miss Judy’s Farm’ and I can rem

Sad, another great musician gone. I'm hoping that a quality concert video from the Night Moves/Stranger in Town era exists somewhere. Maybe Bob has some stuff in the vaults that he will release now that he's hung up his touring shoes. I attended several shows back then and it was great rock and roll.

He loved those LP jrs. I read an interview once and he said when they were on tour in the early 70's, he would stop in pawn shops and buy mid 50's LP jrs for $50 U.S. because the shop owners didn't know what they had.

MANATEE COUNTY – Another rock star now has a home in Sarasota-Manatee, Florida. Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger and his ballet dancer girlfriend Melanie Hamrick bought a Manatee County house at 15809 Clearlake Ave. in The Lake Club in Lakewood Ranch, according to Michael Saunders & Company. The four-bedroom estate sits on roughly a third of an acre surrounded by lake views and includes

Not sure if that had already been announced. “Roger’s got bronchitis so we’re having to cancel the show in Dallas and also the show in Denver,” Who guitarist Pete Townshend said in an Instagram video. “We will redo those shows … come back to Houston and rejig that show because we only played 45 minutes last night. He needs to consider spacing his gigs further apart to let his body and voice recover as Mick does. He's only a year younger than our Mick. His voice packed up in Cardiff a few years back, postponing the rest of that tour by 3 or 4

The Houston show ended after 8 songs when Roger lost his voice. After he sang the first verse of Who are you, he went back by his little table and didn’t sing when it was time for the second verse. Pete looked over and then stepped up and sang it. Roger sang most of the rest of it, but was visibly pissed off after the song. I thought it was an equipment problem because he yanked out one of hi

The Stones have not played in Houston since 2005, 14 years. I've learned to never say 'never' with these guys, but the chances are low that they will ever return. With this in mind, I wanted to focus on the experience and not be concerned with setlists, # of songs, taking perfect pictures, etc. My daughter and I got there early and staked out our place towards the back of the

I was still a teen when I saw him for the first time, just after the second album was released. Probably the closest I will ever get to the atmosphere of an early Stones concert - small arena, loud, fast paced rock'roll, raucous crowd rushing the stage, security escorting them off. Still one of my top 5 concert experiences - the buzz lasted for weeks.

Saw him for the first time a couple years ago when he opened on the Petty tour. I was watching the crew get things ready before the show. At the side of the stage a few guys were standing around talking, and I thought, man, one of those guys sure looks like Steve. Sure enough, about 15 minutes later he strolled on stage and just started playing. No introduction or fanfare. His voice is still

One of the great voices in Rock. Unique sound - you knew it was him from the first word of the song. Looking at those screen shots reminds me how back in the 70's, any guy bearing a resemblance to Gregg, with the flowing blonde hair and trimmed beard, had no problems getting the attention of the ladies. I, unfortunately, had zero resemblance.

HonkeyTonkFlash - that last line about not being able to hear the first song hits home with me. I also saw the Stones for the first time in 78 in Houston. It was at the long gone Sam Houston Coliseum, same place where the cover photo for the Faces 'Nod is as Good as a Wink' was taken. The second level extended out much further over the lower level than in modern arenas. I was in t
