Looks like they are certifying that Mick Taylor is in the film. They must not know their RS tours very well. Quoteflairville Certified by the BBFC here in the UK.

I would go for the Nicaraguan Benefit show - essentially the 72 setlist, plus a few from '69 (Live with Me and Stray Cat Blues) and a few one offs like Rt 66. Of the more recent tours, I always liked the club shows from the Licks tour, like the Roseland show mentioned earlier. Of the shows I've attended, the Houston show on the Licks tour had a good mixture of songs, many which I

"Iconic Houston blues-rock trio ZZ Top has been forced to cancel their current tour due to an injury within the band. Bassist Dusty Hill slipped and injured his hip while aboard a tour bus this week, according to the band’s publicist, Bob Merlis. “ZZ Top performance dates have been temporarily suspended while he recovers. Tour dates affected by the suspension include all of the s

I've always thought that 'Toys in the Attic' and 'Rocks' were as good a back to back release of any band. I listened to them when they came out and still do today.

My favorite song off of 'Love You Live'. I remember I also tried to set it up as my user name on some other web site, can't recall which one, and it was rejected because of perceived drug reference (crack).

I went to the Houston show last night. With 17 backing musicians, all of whom got plenty of front-of-stage time, the show was even more 'religious revival'than ever. Other than a sweet duet with Bruce on 'One Step Up', Patti was probably the least featured of any of them. 3+ hours and about 30 songs. The set list says there's an encore, but there's no leaving t

Osteo-Arthritis is a bitch. I'm amazed he can play as well as he does. I know people who suffer from it and they cannot bend some of the joints in their fingers. QuoteStrawberriesBlueberries QuoteWild Slivovitz QuoteStrawberriesBlueberries I sense a strong will by Keith here to play the right notes and a coherent melody on his two Sympathy soli from Tokyo. Also on Sympathy in Abu Dhab

I've always felt the 72-73 performances of this song could use a dose of Keith's harmony vocals. I've never heard a concert version that made me hit the repeat button, even though it's one of my favorite cuts on Exile. I've hit the repeat button a few hundred times on the studio version.

I always liked this album musically because of the way the keyboards were an integral part of so many songs. Not just an overdub like on many later albums, but woven into the fabric of the melody on songs like Next Goodby, Luxary, Short & Curlies, Be my Friend and of course, Time Waits for No one. The inter-twining of guitars and keyboards made for some beautiful melodies. Nicky added so

Beautiful harmony vocals from Rod. Makes you wish for what could have been if they had been able to work through their differences.

A few observations from tonight: MR was a full on guitar attack. MT was all business, no dancing around and an extended solo during the speed up part. The whole show was very guitar driven. I only heard the brass during their solos. The Katy Perry appearance wasn't as bad as I feared ahead of time, and Ronnie did some nice solo work during the song. Good to see Lisa back in the s

I think this was discussed in the original $85 ticket thread a while back. If I remember correctly, someone in the know said these numbers are just how TM tracks the tickets and the row/seat #'s are meaningless.

Rod always plays the 'Faces reunion' card when he has a new solo release to promote, but never follows through when he has the opportunity. He joined them for some rehearsals, but then chose not to be part of the reunion shows in Europe a couple years back. QuoteToru A Time is his rockiest album in over a decade. And he lets drop that he is talking with Ronnie Wood about a long moot

Quotekeeffan Can anyone tell me if Sections 18-21 of the MGM Grand are worth the money or are they behind the Stage? I may have to use Stub Hub to get tickets. Are they reliable? Thanks. Cliff Perth Don't worry. There's already 408 Stub Hub listings and 88 EBAY listings for Vegas tickets. You just have to talk yourself into opening up your wallet.

Great pictures. That's a lot of LP firepower on stage - nice to see. This show featured the most LP playing since the early/mid 70's maybe? Keith's JR sounds great on the clips I've heard.

Just using the V2 as an example for comparison purposes. Do you have to crank up the volume on these small watt amps to get a comparable tone? Er, well, how many 120 watt tube amps can you actually play at home? These amps are made for 1000+ seaters, not for your bedroom. Mathijs

How much volume do you need to get the Jimmy Miller era KR tone - can you play in a bedroom without blasting the whole house? As VT22 alluded to, I have an old V2 that has great tone, but even through an atenuator I can only play it when no one else is home, and then I have to go pick up all the stuff that got knocked off the walls (and hope nothing broke). QuoteCafaro I bought the 15 watt

They pared down the power ballads at some of the more recent shows and that's what swayed me to take a chance and go at the last minute. 'What it Takes' was really the only American Idol type song of the night. Sadly, 'No more No more' has not been played at recent shows, but they did play 'Rats in the Cellar'. Three cuts from 'Rocks' helps any set

On the spur of the moment, I drove to the arena in Houston last night and bought a 3rd row seat for $150 as Cheap Trick was about half way through their set, and it was worth every penny. Even if your not into Tyler's antics, which I'm not, go to see Whitford and Perry. The set list was light on 90's ballads and heavy on loud guitar-driven rock, and most songs turned into extende

I was about 20 when LYL came out and at my record buying peak. I bought it right away because it was the first concert album that had tracks from the albums I associated with - Sticky Fingers, Exile, Goats Head and IORR. Plus, it was current and relevant. Sounds funny now, but at the time 1969 and Ya-ya's seemed like a long time ago - yesterday's news with those oldie C. Berry songs

I graduated from high school in the mid 70's. By the end of the decade, I was trying to convince my younger high school aged friends that the Stones still rocked and, were relevant. By that time, new bands such as Van Halen and AC/DC had taken rock radio by storm. The fact that the Stones two most recent songs familiar to casual listeners were Miss You and Emotional Rescue did not help my

I got a CD a long time ago called 'From the Vaults' or something like that and it has a fantastic soundboard recording of Sympathy from Paris 1970. The problem is that it fades out just after Keith's solo starts, so it's like that feeling when your having sex and just when your about to get to the big moment, it fizzles out for some reason. (Not that it's ever happened t
