The 1989 Steel Wheels tour remind me a bit of the 1988 Jagger south east tour whereas 1994 sounded less synth driven. Actually the synth sound of the eighties has very badly aged.

QuoteHairball Quoteds1984 QuoteHairball Not sure how many Pink Floyd fans prefer the lame and confirmed to be re-released Delicate Sound of Thunder over an Animals Deluxe set, but my guess is probably zero. Then you would be surprised. Speaking for myself I would be delighted that Animals could see the light in 5.1 format but since it is not Andy Jackson doing the job I have serious doubt

Quotebuttons67 i got right into early floyd last year, still dont dig the later stuff as much, and to me a pink floyd without roger isnt quite the same, the pre dark side of the moon era is classic floyd, so underrated, ive started collecting the records and cd,s, hope to get the early years, the later years eventually and all the live stuff, including the immersion editions of some of the middl

Quotelonglongwinter Which is the best of the 4? Difficult to say. Setlist wise Amsterdam. But Paris and London are also excellent show maybe even better performance.

It was the Stones back into live business and they were seriously on top. Ok, Voodoo Lounge Tour was even better. The Atlantic City PPV is in my top five favourite concert.

Discussing the creative force of Pink Floyd. Roger was an important one but his solo works mostly show how much he misses Dave and Rick. Divided THEY fall.

I don't want to judge current pop or rock - call it what you want. Popular music is made by and for young people. Ok right , when I switch the radio on I regularly say "what that sh!t" and can't stand some of the modern production trick but I am an old fart now.

QuoteGazza well they could have said on the cover that it was Paris and London (76) and Toronto (77). The only issues were (maybe someone can clarify the finer details) that their previous record company (Atlantic I think) owned the rights to their performances up to 1975, so the performances on the album from the 1975 Los Angeles (Sympathy) and Toronto shows (Fingerprint File & IORR) were

Pink Floyd - Pulse David Gilmour acknowledged that patches were used and stated they were taken from other live but no studio overdub were applied. So the Pulse album remains 100% live recordingS.

Eurythmics Live 1983 - 1989. More or less overdubbed live but some recording location and or date wrong. For example, "The Miracle of Love" is incorrectly credited as recorded in Paris, September 1989, though : [*] "The Miracle of Love" was not part of the 1989 setlist [*] they did not play in Paris in September Actually recorded in Sydney, Australia on 14 February

QuoteHairball I imagine the facade for that shop will be ripe for vandalism...maybe a Beatles fan (Banksy?) will spray paint a giant green apple on it. And then Apple Corp. would sue them for intellectual property right infringement before settling a juicy transaction.

I wonder that also. They are making a big buzz, they take the cash and they close before really loosing money. That is one option. But we should not underestimate the Stones popularity and attractiveness. They are literally flooding the market with limited run outfit, probably drying the place of the unauthorised merch, and they sell them. My only complain is that if you want the offi

I am so happy that they finally publish that show. I have been waiting for it since the delayed broadcast once in my country during summer '90. I count that one amongst the best shows I heard from that tour. OK the Rolling Stones are businessmen and the "super deluxe" content may look a bit odd. I don't get why it is more expensive on the US market but here in Euro
