QuoteHenrikBB The UK-Out Of Our Heads does not exist in True Stereo, - as the material wasn’t recorded in Stereo ! If the song wasn’t originally Stereo recorded, - there is no way it can ever be released in True Stereo. Excuse but I may think there is a confusion between recording and mixing. A mono recording is a "only one track recording" and already at the time of the Ro

Unfortunately Paul has lost his voice these later years, so leave him in peace. Quotestanlove Quotechrism13 I have an idea. The Stones should invite Paul to sit in at one of their live shows (Hard Rock?)for a blues song! Obviously both the Beatles and the Stones have long history together ...Stones even covering Get Back a few years ago. I would suggest a version of Twenty Flight Rock a

Quoteflilflam This is an article by David Remnick of The New Yorker. There is also a video of Resnick with CNN. The comments by Paul seem a little insulting. The Stones have covered quite a few old blues musicians, and their music was influenced by the great blues people. But they sang romantic ballads, dabbled in disco, and wrote some wild and raucous rock and roll. Many dealt with im

QuoteKRiffhard Quoteds1984 Since John is not there anymore to discuss Paul's view. Remember John hated jazz stuff. Paul liked jazz stuff. But both loved Rock 'N' Roll. And the Beatles were a mixture of that. Paul wrote "Oh Darling" and John would have died to be allowed to sing it. Beatles and Stones rivalery is just a joke. It's a joke but he c

I am surprised by this story. Eric was already asked about taking the seat of Mick Taylor and he answered that he turned the idea down because he needed to be the boss of the band. The other point to think about is that he was then managed by Robert Stigwood (RSO) before Roger Forrester took over. Not sure they would have agreed Eric to join the Stones... QuoteRockman the stones started out as a derelict blues band playing chicago blues. Derelict blues band .... Hey yeah thats a good line sundevil .... The Beatles knew the Stones were good. And they were at least different enough to get along with the Beatles.

They are taking the best out of the Get Back sessions but hey that is a lot of work for just 5 good songs or so. Compared to how fast Abbey Road was recorded, the Get Back project was mainly a musical fail.

My opinion is that Eric Clapton's racism is not deeply attached to the color of the skin but had the "Britain invaded by foreigners" feels. Nathan East is not an emigrate but an american born citizen and problably originated from slave ancestry. Different history. Quotetommycharles QuoteStoneageYes, I think so Dandy. I have heard so too. What I was referring to was that Jagger most probably was the architect behind the 1989/90 tours new music arrangements. Not Chuck or Matt. Given they were mostly copied from the arrangements from his solo tour, that would make sense. It sounded obvious to me when I first heard Deep Down Under And especially on that

QuoteErik_Snow I can't understand the obsess with Lisa Fisher's "Gimme Shelter". There are far better female-vocalists out there for that track. The studio version by Clayton is one. I would not compare the studio and the live. Merry Clayton performance is outstanding but imho Lisa Fisher is doing good live on it.

I don't understand all that fuss. Musically it's Ok. The band is playing good. Lisa is doing her stuff. It's a pro recording. I don't care much about the rest.

Someone will correct me if i am wrong, I am sure. jb Nope, there are also regional code restriction for BluRay : A B and C. BUT this is not mandatory.
