What surprised me when I dwelled deep into Undercover was how united the band still seemed to be at that time. Often it’s said that Mick & Keith were fighting already during U sessions, but for example the demo sessions for Wanna Hold You tell a very different story. They’re laughing and jamming together just like in the old days.

The 2nd season started with Their Satanic Majesties Request and ended with the whole Jagger's solo career. The next season will probably start with Black and Blue or Goats Head Soup.

I do a weekly radio show for a Finnish radio station Roll FM. The show is called A Record Better Than Its Reputation. Undercover was the very first show, because that album was one of the main triggers for the whole series. Me and the guest dwelled for two hours into the album, its live cuts (not of them around!) and outtakes. A great record, certainly better than its reputation.

Yes, for some reason Mick seems to place his tongue in cheek when singing country. I wonder why this is, he doesn't do that when singing blues. But when he doesn't, he sounds awesome. Evening Gown is the perfect example of this. Also the early take of Faraway Eyes beats the released version:
