QuoteSomeGuy Quotepadre69 Interesting thing. I just bought Mixed Emotions 7” single. When I tried to play it, the needle jumped like crazy on it. I’ve heard that if a vinyl is too brickwalled the needle won’t stay on the tracks properly, but I’ve never seen one before. The single is unplayable. Anybody else got this single and noticed the same? I bought the CBS/Columbia single when it came out

QuoteTheGreek That tune is rocking and I agree that you can imagine Tom Petty being right in the middle of this tune . Great job Mike Campbell ! I don’t hear a single.

QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteIrix QuoteGasLightStreet Anyone going to ape about the fact that these vinyl LPs are being cut from a digital master, which makes it completely pointless regarding sound quality? The digital masters are partly in DSD-format (like on SACD). Vinyl sounds better than SACD? HA HA! Eh, well, for the people that are strictly into the analog idea, from what I understand,

Quotejahisnotdead Okay, here's my first effort. YouTube - She Was Hot (Rolling Stones Cover) Cool. Not the easiest one to cover. Especially without a band.

Thanks, guys. It was hard to pick the songs. 100 Years Ago, Spider and the Fly, Neighbours and Emotional Rescue (!) were on the list too, but got dropped.

Quotedeardoctor Quotepadre69 Honky Tonk Women could be a cool opener. A cowbell to get people’s attention, then looooong intro with Keith’s open G strumming. Also it’s got a nice and mellow groove to get things going. A bit like Under My Thumb did. HTW worked fine in 75/76 and at the jagger solo tour in '88. So it would be not new Ah yes, of course. Forgot about that 75/76.

Got my Charlie Is My Darling yesterday. Haven’t watched it yet, but the box is beautiful, very nicely done. I read the booklet of the movie and started wondering if it’s the same movie as Rolling With The Stones? I bought that as a VCD (remember?) about 20 years ago from Hong Kong or China. If I recall right at least the Elvis impersonation was also on that vcd. Gotta try if that disc still play

QuoteMonsoon Ragoon Criss Cross almost made the album if I remember correctly. Together with Waiting On A Friend, Through The Lonely Nights and Tops this track is probably the only releaseable (former) GHS outtake out of the ones we know. Fast Talking Slow Walking is pretty good, but had to be "finished". The rest is probably not releaseable. But the question is if Hide Your Love was re

I wonder if there’s an update to that legendary Rolling Stones Complete -notebook, that we probably all have in our shelves? It ends in Tattoo You, so it would be nice to have it up to date. It has its flaws, but I still return to it regularly. Yes, I know I’ll find all the lyrics and tabs from the net, but I really hate those ads and popups. And I like books. Even a sequel from Undercover on

QuoteRocky Dijon Overall, I would have been happier if the disc had been: 1. Pass the Wine 2. Plundered My Soul 3. I'm Not Signifying (with horns mixed properly and no blues harp overdub) 4. All Down the Line (acoustic) 5. All Down the Line (electric outtake) 6. Get a Line on You 7. Fragile 8. Good Time Women 9. Hillside Blues 10. Traveling Man 11. Exile on Main Street Blues (ci

I like that the ones from VL are finally available as normal priced vinyl. I just got m ABB half speed remaster (from the box set). It didn’t become magically a great album but is definitely more listenable than the brickwalled cd. I suppose it’ll be the same thing with VL and B2B. So, bring it on.
