I'd like to see a new album supported by a tour, in the sense that they play 5 or 6 of the new tunes ... don't worry, guys, I know it's wishful thinking

Noone said Ronnie should bring 15 great songs for an album. It'd be quite alright if he brings one or two only. Provided they are one or two good songs that would possibly still be preferable to having the umpteenth sounds-like-a-hundred-cousins song by Mick or (especially) Keith. How much say, or rooms for suggestions, Ronnie has in the studio is anybody's guess. To judge from what

QuoteBowieStone Quotedoitywoik I guess that Mick and Keith's Paris 2002 leftovers ended up on ABB and Ronnie's tracks ended up on I Feel Like Playing. I guess not. Those 2002 sessions sound like one of the worst sessions they ever done. And leftovers from that (the released songs were already poor) for another album? No, they rightfully abandoned it. I don't see any connecti

Back then, the Floyd's "Dark Side" and ""Wish U were here" were considered to have been extraordinarily long in the making. By today's standards they were real quickies ... LOL

The Paris 2002 sessions story (Keith asking Ronnie if he got any songs) was printed in the 50th anniversary book (forget the title). Ronnie said they recorded an album's worth of tracks (and seemingly also one -or some - of his tunes) and just would have needed one or two more weeks to polish them for release (which they didn't have, of course...). I guess that Mick and Keith's

Judging from the last 20-or-so years' experience, if Keith is optimistic about a new album there is a good chance of it never coming to exist at all. Let's hope this time is different.

D&G would have been a perfect album opener. Best since Start Me Up. What a pity they wasted that one for a compilation that most people possibly didn't even care to DL. Not the single version, the album version! May have needed a bit more work on the middle section, just imagine the razor-sharp guitar duels Keith and Ronnie could have there! For me one of the reasons the song doesn'

QuoteRawIguanaCologne but hey! folks...it doesn´t seem Elvis´ playing isn´t going down too well with Keith Richards´ playing... It doesn't seem Keith's playing is going down too well with the song ... Seems to me like Keith wasn't familiar with the song, and and his chops weren't exactly great anyway, and he tried to noodle along but it didn't work out.

Maybe a bit OT in this particular thread, but WTHey: after B2B came out Keith said in a number of interviews (I seem to remember at least one in RS) they recorded so much stuff that the rest of the recorded material would be released on a separate CD the following year, and perhaps at first in England only. Well, as we all know meanwhile, it did not happen. But does anyone know if there has reall

Keith made similar remarks in an interview with the German news magazine "Der Spiegel" (Sept. 15th 2014, Der Spiegel 38/2014) when promoting Gus&Me but somehow he sounds less enthusiastic than usual (no "keep the ball rolling" or the like). Funny no-one mentioned this one so far. Here's the relevant part of the interview: SPIEGEL: Sie haben mit Jagger über 200 Song
